What do you mean that I shouldn't have to worry? If I can't turn off threaded optimization, i can't see the ground with OptiFine. And without OptiFine, my Minecraft will stay jittery, laggy, and still have broken textures (in my texture pack, but i can deal with that)..

When I meant not to worry it was in regards to not having a GPU that wasn't Intel integrated/APU that may have that issue. Try using a different version in that case is what I can suggest.

i installed weather with in installer, and only had tmi and optifine in the magic launcher. tmi was above optifine

Some mods that I use with Magic Launcher that have installers, I take the contents and manually put that into zips if possible and then put them into ML. But anyway, I would keep OF above everything and then do TMI or Weather mod next, because there order shouldn't really matter if they don't conflict, which they don't.

You may wish to check to that the Weather mod installer does it's job by checking the minecraft.jar and other resources folders and seeing that it placed them where needed.

sp614x is there a another way, beside magiclancher, how much ram to use on the game ?

Creating a batch script to allocate X amount of RAM to the Java application before it goes to startup Minecraft. I'm sure there is a link or something around here. For the moment ... Google

Does this mod have a problem with SPC or is it just me. I use the multicore too. Please help!

I use SPC and WorldEditCUI(1.2.4) with MT_C7 with no issues.
What kind of problems are you having?

It's strange how minecraft works on different setups like on my pc vanilla 1.2.5 minecraft runs at 100fps and when I tried 1.3pre it runs at 180fps and in caves it even goes up to 300fps so the 'performance enchantements' really work for me.
(With Optifine MT 1.2.5 with all the features turned on+texture packs it runs at 150fps)

The best part about having more than 60FPS, is that you won't be able to see any those extra frames.
That is unless your display has a refresh rate of more than 60Hz ;)

Good to see that it's working for ya, and turn on vSync while you're at it :)

I installed the Multicore version of Optifine some time back which caused all blocks to become permanently transparent in the middle of playing a map. That has made me dislike Optifine since.

But recently, I heard that the Multicore version itself is buggy & on that advice I went ahead & installed the C6 Smooth version. & it works fine.

But now I have a problem that whenever I write a sign, in the sign GUI, the text flickers. I know it's an Optifine issue because when I didn't have Optifine, it didn't flicker.

Can anyone help me out here? I tried to solve it in the Options menu but couldn't. Is there some setting that I missed? It's really annoying :(

It's stated that when you install the MT version of Optifine to Minecraft that you may get transparent blocks or flashing chunks, and that there are ways to 'fix' that issue. Nothing is wrong with it, but nothing that can't be remedied either.

If you have problems with flashing or transparent blocks
    A. Disable "Threaded Optimization" / "OpenGL Threading" in the graphics card control panel (example). For best results disable it globally, not only for java.exe or minecraft.exe.
    B. Enable "Vertical Synchronization" in the graphics control panel or set the option Performance to VSync.

I started using the Ultra version very early this morning. I have to say that I am really excited about it, since it has MT + AA/AF. Before I use to have to enable AA/AF in the Nvidia control panel for Java 1.7 x64 but it made texture edges white and horrible.

I also remember that there was a version that was done similar to this before a couple Minecraft versions back and I really enjoyed it too.
This is the version I want to keep using for the rest of my crafting days :)

It would seem I'm using an Intel graphics card that is built in to my computer's motherboard. Knowing that, I can't find an Intel control panel that isn't the one I have or isn't compatible with my graphics card.

In your case, there won't be such an option for multi-threaded operation that you can turn off, even if you have the Intel Graphics options open in-front of you. Mind you, this option was primarily for AMD and Nvidia GPU's, so you shouldn't have to worry.

Well, Windows 7 only seems to have a "graphics properties..." section, but it does not have threaded optimization.

[Next to that, I didn't know Windows 8 was released, yet.]

If you are using an Nvidia GPU then seeing from what you have there, you may not have certain software installed for such a product and are not able to access the given graphics options as a result.
You may wish to check on that and install the latest drivers as needed since they come with the control center.

It's not, he is most likely using the release preview they have out.

You got it. Win 8 RP x64.

i think i found an incompatibility. i installed optifine and toomanyitems with the magic launcher, and i used an installer to install the weather and tornados mod.(i am using the latest version standard btw) but after a few minutes of playing in a world, the game crashes. i turned off optifine in the magic launcher, and tornados worked fine. should i submit a crash report?

I used the mods you mentioned not long ago in proper install order using Magic Launcher. Can't say I had any issues myself.

Optifine, TMI, Weather mod - In that order were used.

Well, certainly someone knows how to access this control panel, no?

Certainly as easy as getting to the AMD Cat. control center.
Option #1: Right click on the desktop and BAM!, context menu will show you the option to get there.
Option #2: Hit the Windows key and type in "nvidia control panel", well, that's how I do it for Windows 8 anyway... ;)

posted a message on [1.7.3] Aether Collaboration Mod - V1.02 - NEW MOBS, FIXES, ITEMS AND FEATURES!
    Hey,

Just this morning, I was looking for a silver dungeon I had found yesterday and marked with a waypoint with using Zan's Minimap mod. I didn't find it, but instead I came across a hidden bronze dungeon.

Now, I have SPC installed and I know there is a class file that both the Aether and SPC use. I know something funky may have happened sooner or later with that being the case.

Anyway, I found the bronze dungeon and one of it's walls showing out from the side of a floating island. I decided to use the command '//' to enable Super Pickaxe and get my way in. (Yes, cheap, I know.) Right after I used my diamond pickaxe with Super Pickaxe enabled, and I hit the first block in the wall for my 2 block entrance, my Minecraft client crashed.

I remember it being said that you could not remove any of the blocks in any of the dungeons until the bosses are defeated. Correct me if I'm wrong. Any idea's? Too, Opening my world save in MCEdit to 'fix' the mistake I made or to change my player position to one in the Dim-0 would not work because MCEdit refused to open it. Repeated attempts to open the world through my Minecraft client ended in a crash with the report screen disappearing immediately.

Feedback would be appreciated or anymore I can give I'll be willing to do so!
