On a survival SMP, a couple of friends and I had an inside joke running about a pheasant with a giant tail (or "very showy plumage"...don't ask), so I built a giant pheasant on top of his survival house with a large tail and diorite or "bird poop" streaming out all over the side of his house. I then put multiple signs all over his house saying things like "much plumage", "very wow", and "quality bird poop". He actually let the bird stay on his house for a couple weeks.

If they do this right, which there's a significantly small chance they will, it might be cool. But it's most likely going to fail.

That's a nice one! Here's mine:
A long time ago, before there were dungeons, the world was a happy place. The spiders were happy, the Nether was a nice place, with friendly pigmen who enjoyed to trade. Everything was content...except the player. He had achieved full diamond armor, and had nothing else to do in the game. So one night, he went into a nearby village and murdered its inhabitants. He controlled them as his minions, skeletons and zombies. He then sent them to the nether, to enslave the pigmen. He brutally killed half of them, and their souls were absorbed by the nearby nethersand, turning it into soul sand. The surviving lower class pigmen he had his zombies infect, creating a new breed of monster: zombie pigmen. He then turned the higher class pigmen into wither skeletons, infecting them with the skeletons. After that, he decided to build outposts all over the overworld, to turn back any nosy other players, and he built a temporary stronghold underground. He then forged a portal to the end, and built large towers with nether crystals on top to enslave the enderdragon, and enslaved the endermen as well. And then, he retreated to his secret base, somewhere, lost in the end, waiting for the player brave enough to discover it...

Can't wait for the new dungeon!
On a side note, I have a theory about how the dungeons were built. I think there is some sort of ruler of the endermen and enderdragon. A sort of final, true boss that Mojang hasn't added yet. I mean, a giant dragon in space takes command of a bunch of black teleporting green beans who steal blocks? That just sounds silly. I think that whoever this commander of The End is used his ender minions to build the dungeons. The endermen built the regular dungeons, then trapped players inside of it, which then died and turned into skeletons/zombies. The desert temples were also built by the endermen, and since nobody can get close enough to a creeper without it exploding to catch it, they had to substitute TNT for creepers. The jungle temples were also built by endermen, but their ruler decided to switch things up and use arrow dispensers. The ruler of the end trapped all of the fish (hence why you never see sea creatures besides squid and guardians), and mutated them into Guardians, then put them in the ocean monument to protect the oceans from nosy players.
Yet here's the most striking part. The ruler of the end is really the player. Think about it. The stronghold looks like a pretty epic base, besides the fact that it's a bit run down. It has a library, chests, source of water, and a pretty epic bedroom (the portal room). Everything a player would need. The stronghold is a view into the future of the game, as well as a bit of paradox. Here's the back story (which actually might make a good storyline for Minecraft Story Mode).
