I just bought a new PC.
It is great and awesome and I love it!
However, for some reason it wont open Minecraft and Terraria!
It did the first night I had it, but not the next day, and it has not worked since!

I have a feeling it might have something to do with it having Windows 8 installed...



Any help and/or tips?
Have you had similar experiences?
Am I posting this in the right section?

Ok, here are all the information I can find about it:

Motherboard: ASRock 970DE/U3S3 ATX AM3+ motherboard
Processor: AMD FX-6300 Vishera (OEM)
CPU cooling: Scythe Katana 3
RAM: GeiL 8GB (2x4GB) Leggera 1600MHz DDR3
Hard drive: 1TB Seagate Barracuda SATA3
Graphics card: Powercolor HD 7850 2GB
Optical: Samsung DVD-writer SATA port (not sure about this translation...)
Sound card: ALC892 (Premium Blu-ray Audio and THX TruStudio Pro support)
LAN: 10/100/1000Mbps (Realtek RTL8111E)
Power supply: PowerColor Gaming Series 500W

Like I said earlier, I have to translate all of this and I'm not a 100% sure all of it is accurate translations of "Optical" and such, but the information is correct and all I could find.

However, the technical information doesn't tell me anything since I don't understand a single thing.

I have to translate all of this, so I hope this is correct
Is this good enough to run big games (Skyrim, CoD:BO2, Dishonored...) on a reasonably high FPS?

I'm a little confused about the fact that people who haven't bought the game can't play the 1.8 pre-release.
Well, I haven't bought the game and I can play it, my friend hasn't bought the game and he can play it, and we have been together on a 1.8pre server.

This makes no sense to me.

Also, my friend HAS bought the game, and he had trouble with it.

You don't understand. In server properties, Offline Mode needs to be True so I can join.
It's not SSP.
