These situations do not require everyone follow the golden rule. In fact, if everyone followed the golden rule perfectly some of the situations wouldn't even be possible.
Also; your last paragraph is exactly what I mean. And you contradicted yourself there, which is exactly what I expected you to do. Your morality is hugely flawed if it relies only on the golden rule.
The "Golden Rule" is just a good way to go about normal situations. There is no "moral code" as nothing is set in stone. Situations will always be different, having slightly different variables resulting in different outcomes. These outcomes are all subjective based on your point of view. If you think I follow this golden rule like a doctrine, you are severely mistaken.
In other words, inflexible moral absolutism. How about these scenarios?
You were forced into war and kill someone.
You were attacked by someone and killed them in self-defense.
You were starving to death and stole from someone who had plenty.
A friend's life is at stake unless you lie to cover for them.
You were enslaved without ever enslaving someone else.
None of these are covered in your moral code.
I didn't say everyone followed the golden rule. That would be a Utopian pipe dream.
War is unnecessary as well in my view. The killing of another human for no reason other than to end his life is pointless. Or even killing others to expand territory, obtain resources, and other materialistic things is absurd. Now, trying to remove a person from power that is causing human suffering is a whole different subject. Call me a hippie if you want. Labels are fun. :smile.gif:
Also, life or death situations involving theft would be considered different. Again, the life of a human is more important to me than almost anything.
Don't want to be killed? Don't kill anyone.
Don't want to be stolen from? Don't steal from anyone.
Don't want to be lied to? Don't lie to anyone.
Don't want to be a slave? Don't make someone a slave.
I don't like the glitch. I hate glitches. They annoy me. The giant mob towers that give someone stacks of gun powder by sitting at the bottom and not moving is exploiting the mobs lack of intelligence and ability to get out. I hate exploitable mechanics. I always have, and I always will. You shouldn't be able to get 1000 TNT worth of gun powder without exposing yourself to the risk of death.
The only reason I can think of that you wouldn't want people to get massive amounts of items is if you were in competition with them. I say, if you went through the process of gathering all that stone, then designed or blueprint built the structure, you deserve the items. I understand your view on it though, but that's my opinion.
Edit: I am not telling you guys to rage quit, I am saying there isn't much options for people who liked the glitch.
I'm pretty sure the ACTUAL booster tracks are a good option. Why do you people "like" the glitch exactly? The construction of them takes time, they usually look out of place, and are completely unrealistic. (Please don't point out all the unrealistic things in MC)
The fact is, mine carts gaining maximum speed from merely passing by another cart was unintentional, therefore being removed. Mob traps are an invention by the community using INTENTIONAL game mechanics in a clever, useful way. Mine cart speed glitch is abusing an UNINTENTIONAL mechanic.
Imo 2 things they could do to make up for losing boosters if they do remove them all together.
1. Make the powered tracks give you 16 like the iron tracks. Another alternative would be to make it costs 6 iron 1 gold 1 redston 1 stick
(red wool being redstone)
:smile.gif:
Or even..
[]
2. Make the powered tracks get you to max speed faster.
Edit: I realize this is about those crappy cart stacking boosters, mine is the two way auto reset booster, those work great but take quite a bit of extra track. Not a big deal for my friends and I but yeah.
The glitch is being removed in the next patch. Which will be Wednesday or Thursday.
Old people are just like everyone else. Some people are cool and some are not. (subjectively of course) However, the late George Carlin was an awesome old person or as he would call himself "old ****". :smile.gif:

Pretty simple if you ask me.

That pretty much does it for me. All the extra goodies that come with PC gaming are just extra.

Tip #2: Play the friend card and move from there. Don't wait too long to make a move. You'll know if you should. Body language.
Tip #2: Plenty o' fish in the sea my young fella.
Cheers. :wink.gif:
