Small new update: I changed a few things to make it harder to cheat or break the map.

And yes I probably should just make a change log rather than commenting, but that's a problem for another day.

So I've been recording a play through that I may or may not upload, and I had some issues with the portals in the puzzles branch.

    Portal Issues:

I am playing on the first version of the map so I don't know if any of this was fixed.

    1. I was trying to shoot a platform that I couldn't hit so I was shooting kind of quick and often. This resulted in 3 orange portal sheep spawning. This doesn't really change gameplay or anything, it just looks ridiculous.

    2. This is the bigger one. I shot a sheep too high on a while so I got my head stuck and started to suffocate in the ceiling when I teleported. This wouldn't matter, but I couldn't die because of the resistance effect. I tried to go to creative and break out, but that sent me to the serious room where I was told I was a cheater. When it sent me back to the map, it telepotorted me outside and on to some command blocks. I was able to kill myself in the void, but it was a big mess.

Not sure if these are really that bad of problems, but I figured I might as well report it.

The portal branch runs on entity data so if your not in 1.8 it wont work even if you have a bow, but to get a bow just walk over those pressure plates at the door to the first room and one should pop out of the wall. I've never seen it not work the first time. It is just a dispenser, so there's not much that can go wrong.

I have a new version of this map with a bug fix, but the forums won't let me edit my post for some reason so here is the link to that.

Edit: I fixed the main post, so it now includes this link.

Loaded it up today to have another go, but having some issues. I am in 1.7.4.

I screwed up a previous save, so started from scratch and did Riddles and Logic. No problem. Am now in Portal and verified I'm in Adventure/Peaceful, but when I fire the arrow into the blue square on the tutorial screen, nothing happens. (I am standing on the pressure plate.)

I tested the portals through use with around one hundred shots each and they can't be broken unless you shoot it while in creative mode, or if you shoot it a few times in one second. I doubt you did this so I have no clue what happened.

I would suggest that you just cheat past the room because if it is broken it can't be fixed without resetting the redstone. If you want to reload the map (which I doubt, but if you do), you can give yourself 5 xp levels for each branch you skip and the map will think you did them, and it will open the end thing when you finish.

Sorry about all the problems you've been having. Everything worked fine in testing, and I really don't know what could be wrong :(

Enjoyed the Riddle branch. The Logic branch was ok until the last one. I'm not sure I completed it properly, but if I did it just seemed repetitive, though I'm sure I didn't, but I didn't see any other way of getting out.

The Redstone one I've been stuck on the first puzzle for 2 hours and still can't figure it out past like 5 moves. I don't know a lot about redstone and not sure I want to read the wiki to understand piston mechanics. Will keep plugging away at it though.

The portal one I'm sure I broke somehow. The room with the timed doors was a little annoying...not sure if it was lag on my PC or what, but the first three or four attempts I could never get to the last one in time, partly because I'm not that skilled with a bow to snap to a target that quickly. After that, the portals stopped working. I got to the next puzzle with the colours on the floor and likewise the portal didn't work when I hit it. Reloaded MC and still have the same problem.

I enjoyed the first map, so really want to enjoy this one. Let me know if I'm doing something wrong and need to keep at it or if there is an actual problem.

First off, the piston thing. To get farther you need to know a little about block update detectors. Basically, if a piston is getting powered indirectly (like through a diagonal block) then something next to it needs to move for it to power.

With the portal thing, I don't think it's really broken.
The portals in that room only work at certain times. Think about what's going on on the floor. That will help.

I really would like to make a video on this map, but I have no way of using the .rar file. If you could put up a .zip download, then I would play it.

You can still play with people if you dont have a server. You have to be on the same Wi-Fi network though. Press pause and click "Open to LAN".

I know, but that's where I run into problems. I don't know of anyone, anywhere near where I live that plays minecraft. Unfortunately that means the LAN world wont work.

Hello Mr. bannana that is red!

Now first off this is a survival map but:

It has lots of custom items and many buildings/ruins

    Thanks!

This map looked sort of interesting, but I'm not sure. I'll put this on my list, but no promises.

It'd be nice if you could play my map, Fortress Wars. It requires 2 players. It's a minigame PvP map, and it should only take about 30 minutes. I just released it today!

I don't have anyone to play with, and if I did, I still don't know how to put up a server. Sorry, but I will not be playing this map.
