Firstly... Look out for the typo monster. It can get you even if you have spellcheck/autocorrect.
Clocks: I'll give you that. They're useful.
Horse armor: why the crap would you butter your horse? If we're talking about gold, not butter, then I understand armoring your horse with it, as a sign of prosperity and all that jazz. But buttering your horse makes no sense, unless you're cooking it.
Apples: again, why would you butter an apple? To stick in your buttered and cooking horse's mouth, as a garnish?
Powered rails: again, I'll give you that. But don't say it's faster because it's "buttered". Because then, why would there be redstone in the crafting recipe?
Currency: this one's meh. Iron is a more affordable alternative for cheaper things, and gold/diamonds can be used for more expensive things.
ZPM drops: I can give you that one.
Enchantableness: not really smart, if you try hard enough you can get any enchantment, and iron's cheap enough you could viably have a set of enchanted armor for any occasion with the use of a mob grinder.
I'm not trying to flame or anything, in fact, I agree that gold can be quite useful. But it is not butter. It can never, will never, and has never been butter.
If it was, we wouldn't be in a good place right now.
wow............. that was the post that was most interesting on this page
