Actually you may not even have needed to recompile with the new @mod as so little changed 1.10 will attempt to load most 1.9.4 mods and it works more often than not.
Edit: the latest 1.9.4 version will also load 1.10 mods.
What do you mean by that? Is this a bug I need to fix in SimpleOres stuff, or are you griping about something Forge did wrong, or what?
ETA: TheOldOne, I don't know if you're using it, but I hope to get the SimpleCore API stable for 1.9.4 real soon now.
It's something forge did wrong. Copied their old armor code that replaces the vanilla code on players and didn't updated it to reflect the vanilla changes so it was acting like the old 25 point each reducing damage by 4%. Bug report: With Extra TiC installed Minecraft crashes if you try to use NEI to look at the full list of TiC mats. Turning off Twilight Forest support in Extra TiC stops the crash but you loose Twilight forest TiC tools.
So I'm setting up a modded Minecraft instance, and adding ExtraTIC throws up this crash report. It works fine with the exact same mod list excluding ExtraTIC, so I'm pretty sure that ExtraTIC either is the problem, or is causing the problem.

Having used ExtraTiC with the new TiC I can tell you that it doesn't crash for me unless you try to make a bow or arrows from the added parts. That crashlog refers to "missing" RF API classes used for the RF modifier.
You could try updating AE to rev2 (the only mod in that list I know uses RF and has an update) or adding COFH Core and COFH lib to see if that fixes the crash.

I'm actually already adding zinc in the tinkers plugin I'm working on. I also have the alloys able to be made in the smelter in the plugin but disabled by default. Next is to add netherrocks support.
One thing I do when using simple ores and ender IO together is add all fusion furnace recipes to the alloy smelter.
Edit: I tried to add some of the alloy smelter recipes to the fusion furnace and found the option to add custom recipes using the config isn't available.

Onyx is slower but has more uses and enchantability and can mine cobalt. adamantine can't even mine obsidian

It's like that for all fast tools on netherrack. Tinker tools with cobalt heads or redstone modifier do it too. Gold tools with efficiency III will do it too.

I have a working alpha up http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/simple-tcon
Tinkers Construct doesn't add aluminum but will still use it + copper to make casts if something else is adding both. I just was wondering if I should include it in the TiC addon.
0
Yes TiC! Now I just need to do a config for it and a lang file for the fluids.
Edit: Should I add aluminum as it's no longer added by tinkers itself?

Forge for 1.9.0 and 1.9.4 are still reverting the vanilla armor changes :/

There's actually a new version of forge built for 1.6.4 just to include this fix in the official forge now.

I have updates built and am trying to get my mods moved to curse hosting.
