Since beds are block-entities now, let's hope they are not destroyed when using /kill command as that would be very problematic.

What happens if most of the content creators go to pe and windows 10 creations in order to make a quick buck or two? Will people not be able to get content for pc, and ultimately leave forums and sites empty? Then everyone has to get pe/windows 10 to be able to play their favorite up to date mod, use their favorite resource pack, or play on their favorite map, and mojang/microsoft will then say the pc community is dead, and no one likes the pc version anymore. Would they then stop developing this version? Would they do away with the ability to play older versions? Or would they bring it to pc to make even more money(or try to)?
That is what I'm concerned about.
If most content creators would do that, then more people would simply pirate their content or provide download links for free. -

It's kind of a double edged sword, I feel.
It's wonderful content creators get to monetize their stuff, more and more Minecraft is becoming a great creativity tool as well as a full on game. But on the other hand it feels a bit iffy. Maybe we're all just spoiled with free community content, lol.
I wouldn't mind paying for some high quality content, though, such as skin packs and such that already exists, I just hope it's not super easy to steal like the current official ones are.
If you are Jailbroken/Rooted, all it takes is finding out the directory the files are stored in, then uploading said files to a file-sharing site. -

ya know, as long as they don't say "Hey yea, no you can't download texturepacks or mods and put them in yourself, for free, anymore, you've gotta buy these ones to do it" by all means let creators support themself this way. But the moment you put free control of mods/texturepacks/whatever behind a paywall, you can kiss your asses goodbuy, as the vast majority of the player base will leave/not update ever again, because they can't play with their favorite texturepack without having to pay for it.
Yeah, it will also lead to more people Jailbreaking/Rooting their devices to modify their game to get everything for free or simply upload all of the paid content. People can also develop Cydia tweaks which bypass the paywall completely and let you download without paying. -

two things here. One, we get a penny for every $100 of ad revenue the link shortener makes off of our links. two, content creators aren't responsible for this marketplace, the company taking 30% off the top for hosting our content is. Some of us have literally spent hundreds of hours over the course of several years keeping up with updates and demand from users for pennies per hour of work put in. Seriously... I spent over two years and garnered over a million downloads for my last texture pack and made about $20. I think this marketplace is garbage, just like the failed paid mods that came before. Giving us content creators heat for being greedy when we basically work for free, and now have to face another company trying to make money off of our work that we barely get rewarded for to begin with, is pretty asinine to be honest.
I am not saying all content-creators are greedy, I am talking about the ones that make hundreds of dollars off of a single map or mod, and claim that isn't enough, which was why this highly controversial feature was created. Sorry if my post sounded a bit harsh towards content creators.

Seriously? Content creators already make money off their advertisements and URL shorteners, which means that this is pointless and is merely a tool for greedy content creators to get more money. I would not be surprised if all of these resources get uploaded somewhere or someone designs a Cydia tweak which makes everything free or gives you infinite Coins to purchase everything for free once this goes live.

No April Fools joke? Seems like someone won't let Mojang do April Fools jokes on us.

Thank you for clarifying citric, I forgot about that partnership. Good to see some integrating, but as CeruleanNutter mentioned, does Curse/Twitch plan in the future to force users to use a Twitch logon. I hope that is not the case.
If they were to make us use Twitch accounts, or change all of our Curse accounts to Twitch accounts, a lot of people would leave and Curse/Twitch would lose money. -

Because these blocks take up block IDs that could be used for items people have been requesting for many years.
Even though Mojang is working to remove the limit on the block/item IDs. -

Can someone explain to me how just standing on top of magma blocks without moving hurts you (and it should remain that way), but jumping up and down (while crouching) shouldn't?
There is no explanation, it was changed because some young kid complained that it was 'too hard and unbalanced'. They also said it was 'unrealistic'.

[Bug MC-110065] - Shift-Jumping on Magma Block deals damage to the player.
That was completely intended, so I don't know why it was changed. Apparently the little kids weren't happy that they had to deal with a challenging feature of the game and pulled the "unrealistic" card so that they could get it easier for them...
literally, the OP said that it was "unrealistic" to take damage when shift-jumping on magma blocks. I wonder what's next, shift-jumping on lava deals no damage?

That's the point of making it private. They don't want you to know, no matter your intentions.
It'll be hard to figure out and probably isn't worth it anyways.
As for the other bug, if you submit a bug report, you can make it private (Only you and mojang staff can see it) no matter how serious it is, so it's up to the poster to do that.
Oh. Also, I figured out how to do the bug, apparently is was used quite a bit on 2b2t for teleportation purposes, so they posted the entire exploit. Surprized that FitMC didn't post about this on YoyTube, considering that he usually posts all of the new Minecraft exploits.
Ok, never mind the huge wall of text, that was a teleportation exploit, not the bed one. This MIGHT be the BedGodMode exploit, though. - To post a comment, please login.

Are you using modded or un-modded Minecraft? Also, show us the full crash report, not a small section of it.

Oh wow. So I guess the logs are rendered in Chromium(Chrome Browser) now, which results in the high memory usage. Incredibly pathetic, the person that thought it was a good idea to do that should be immediately fired and taken back to programming school. Also note that leaving the log open for a long enough period of time(around 15-30 minutes) causes the launcher to crash.
0
OK guys, here is a screenshot of Task Manager and the Minecraft Launcher side-by-side. Additional info is in the image provided. As it was scrolling through the news, that is when the RAM started to build up drastically.
0
OK, I'll get some screenshots when I get home.
0
Oh, OK. Do you unlock a national Pokedex in the game, or is it on the website anywhere?
0
Well I don't know why you are not experiencing the resource issue. I use Windows 7 with Avast Antivirus, if that makes a difference. The RAM usage goes up as more images are displayed on the news page until it reaches about 500MB.
0
Well MacOS doesn't use the Chromium Embedded Framework, so your RAM usage won't be incredibly high.
0
Not talking about the game. I'm talking about how the LAUNCHER is using a huge amount of resources. 32 bit programs use less memory than 64 bit programs, so of course you will have lower RAM usage. It is still absurd that a launcher is using upwards of 500MB of RAM after leaving it open for a few minutes.
0
Why is Arceus not in the Pokedex? Is it not obtainable in the game?
0
Yeah, the whole reason for that is because the launcher uses the Chromium Embedded Framework, basically the Chrome browser, to render all of the menus now. I guess the developers didn't realize that not everyone has high-end gaming computers that have 8GB+ or RAM.

If it's just going to a white screen, then it's probably the display driver crashing. Experienced the same issue on Windows 10 before I ditched it and installed Windows 7. Never experienced the issue since. Try using another OS while playing Minecraft. If Minecraft doesn't cause the white screen to appear on the other OS, then it is a problem with Windows 10. Otherwise if the white screen appears again in the other OS, then it is a hardware issue.

A major vulnerability for ALL websites that use CloudFlare have been affected by an exploit known as CloudBleed. This exploit has allowed for passwords for millions of websites to be leaked, including MinecraftForums and possibly other Minecraft-related sites. It is suggestion that you use 2FA(2-factor-authecation) and changer your passwords for any accounts on any sites immediately, since a huge number of sites were effected by this glitch.
You can view the unofficial lists of sites effected by this exploit(it's really long and curse.com is at the top of the list) here: https://github.com/pirate/sites-using-cloudflare
You can read the official statement about this bug by CloudFlare here: https://blog.cloudflare.com/incident-report-on-memory-leak-caused-by-cloudflare-parser-bug/
Also, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I was rushing to get this out as this is one of the biggest CloudFlare vulnerabilities in the past few years.

And that is why I use extensions like AdBlock Plus and Ghostly with them set to block everything. I still don't like how these crash reports are being sent withoyt my knowledge at all, and why they never put in an option to turn off the automated crash reporting like in the PC edition of the Minecraft.
0
Well as soon as I see "Microsoft" in the name of the offending files, then I have every right to assume it is Microsoft. Also, even if the data isn't personal, I still don't want it to be upload data to a huge database. Either way, here is an image of the file: http://imgur.com/2GHEILR
If what you say about the crash reports doesn't contain personal info, then I should not have to blur anything out. This is the most recent file I found in the folder. My User, Device, and Session ID is listed, which is unique to my Device. Which means they can find out more info about my device if they wanted to.
And like I said before, it is not hard to remove a small little development feature from the public release.
0
It isn't that hard to remove a simple library or function from an app. Also, beta versions are never released on iOS, so there is no need to include this HockeyApp library or something.
