I have made a minecraft server that uses my internal IP address (192.168.x.xxx as the server address. Only people using my wifi can log on to that server (is that normal)? Also, I have opened port 25565 on my external ip address (75.30.78.95). Also, when I do the step that most port-forwarding guides use, where I must type type my IP address into the url, I have to use my router ip address, which is different from the other two. The guide that I used was this http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/2wire/2701HG-B/Minecraft_Server.htm
The Firewall settings that I modified was for my internal IP Address, which for some reason opened up my external IP addresses's port. Im pretty sure that im supposed to modify my external IP address but.
so where the hell did I go wrong? If you read this please make an attempt to help me.
I can play on this server, and my friend can when he's at my house. But it doesn't work for him while he's at his house. I have checked that the ports are correctly forwarded, can anybody help me?
IP Address: 192.168.1.147
I created a Bukkit server using my internal ip address, and my friend and I could play together when he was at my house. But I realized that for us to play together when we're not at my house, I need to make the server use my external ip address. Is there anyway to perform this switch and how do I do it? Does it involve port-fowarding and the like?
I'm pretty sure that i did everything correctly, but this error screen keeps showing up right after the white "MOJANG" screen shows up. The "MOjANG" screen takes longer than it should, and then this error screen shows up. It is only there for about 1 second and then my launcher automatically closes.
Would any person be kind enough to create a 12w07b minecraft.jar for the MAC that has Single Player Commands and World Edit?
Also, please don't tell me to "**** off" because I have tried to do this myself so many times, and in so many different ways, but it never works. I would elaborate but its beside the point.
If you really insist on still telling me to "**** off" please do it in a kind manner.
I now realize that you don't have to give me World Edit, thats a separate .jar which I already have, and I'm pretty sure that I know what to do with it.
I have a mac, but I am playing MC on Windows 7 using VMware. The problem is that when I move my mouse to look around, I end up either looking straight up or straight down. If I try to rotate myself, I will stay looking down or up and then the sky/ground will start rapidly spinning. I've tried adjusting the sensitivity, but the spinning just gets faster/slower. Using a mouse or track pad makes no difference either. Whats wrong?
