So I started running a small Cauldron server a little while hosted by CubedHost(these guys rock) and with a little help from them, I got a modded SMP thing going.
Now I've run into a bit of an issue: Nether Portals are behaving very similar to End Portals.
Let me explain: I have no problems entering the Nether. I build the frame, light it up, walk out of another frame... all is well. When I try to leave, however, it tries to put me back by my bed, which is a considerable distance from my portal. If I die in the Nether, it actually spawns me back at spawn, as if I didn't have a bed. The only way to walk back through the portal and come out on the other side is to break my bed beforehand.
I've tried in Single player, and everything works like it should.
I'm running Cauldron 1.7.2
My mods are:
Thaumcraft (baubles, tinkerer, forbidden magic, exploration, mob aspects)
The Twilight Forest
DrZhark's MobSpawners/Mo'Creatures
CraftGuide
Balkon's WeaponMod
None of these should affect portals at all.
If anyone has any idea what's wrong, please let me know. I'm a total noob at this, and I probably broke something in some config somewhere, but I can't find anything that looks like it would cause this.

I've tried removing other mods, and I now know that it is Thaumcraft causing the crash. Every time I log back into that world, I hear a split second of this loud mechanical grating, I can move around for maybe 10 seconds, and then I'm staring at this error. I tried updating my launcher, forge, and Thaumcraft, but no luck.
I would like to see a "breaking" beam in addition to the smelting beam. Many ores have significantly less return when smelted. Might also be nice to be able to load it up with gun powder and launch explosive projectiles.
Anyway, fantastic mod. I love what you hae so far, and I could see this becoming huge.
It will most likely be compatible at some point. The only issue that I see that might come up is that Taint is a biome now and thus, might be subject to 1.7's new biome generator code stuff... thingy (lol). If the issue even arises, hopefully it won't be a hassle to fix, but we'll find out in 1.7. Also, I don't see 1.7 breaking much if anything in TC4. TC4's ores will most likely be added to those new biomes but I don't think it'll break this mod like 1.6 did for many other mods.
Note: I don't speak for Azanor. I'm just taking some educated guesses based off what I've seen, know and read.
Ok, thanks. I was guessing that it wouldn't be too much of a problem, but it had been bugging me, and I hadn't seen anyone else asking about it, so I thought I'd chime in. It's the biome thing that worried me most. At least in TC3, nodes were somewhat biome dependent (I think). I was unsure how the new biomes might or might not break TC4.
Ok, I'm kind of curious. I know this is being built for 1.6, but what about 1.7? Will Thaumcraft be compatible with it, or will we have to choose between this and all those pretty new biomes, flowers and fish (oh my!)?
(I would pick Thaumcraft in a heartbeat, but I'd like to be able to have both)
I really like the idea of the personal dimension. Very cool concept there.
I have no idea how one would do it, but if you could have some sort of teleportation system going on there with multiple doors to your dimension... Combining that with Millénaire, you could totally have an awesome 'Howl's Moving Castle' effect on the door, and that would be really sweet.
However, I think that this should really be a 'thaumic tinkerer' sort of addon to thaumcraft. I'd hate to have to wait even longer for this fantabulous update.

I go on a mining expedition, start running around in this abandoned mineshaft, and then after a while, my game crashes and gives me this crash log.
