    Solar System Survival
    Survive the Universe

"I am a citizen of the universe, and a gentleman to boot!"

Looking for a unique and detailed survival challenge. Enjoy the skyblox challenge. Played one of the planetoids maps before. Well you are in luck, this map takes the challenges to new and wonderful places. Are you a giant, has the the universe shrunk, or have you shrunk to the point you have entered an alternate universe that is much smaller than the one you were in? Perhaps I have captured you and hooked your body to my machine that keeps you dreaming and this is the world I put you in. Whatever the explanation, you must survive

Solar System Survival takes the challenge of limited resources and to a new and scenic place, right here, our solar system (unless you are some alien that has picked up our internet, in which case "Hello.") This map recreates the solar system in detail from the massive sun to ringed Saturn and our own Earth. Of course the planets are not close and most are inhospitable alone but useful in some way as the Earth is not perfect, years of mining have depleted many mineral resources. Once you obtain resources travel to the distant Nether System with six more planets an astroid belt around a White Dwarf star, and investigate a mysterious object in the distance. The return to Earth and enter an unknown craft at the reaches of the system.

    This map features:
-custom "terrain" for all three dimension
    -eight overworld planets
    -six Nether planets
    -custom Stronghold and Nether Fortress
    -vague hints at story details
-for extra difficulty/ambience: set command "/gamerule DaylightCircle false" (suggested by Moonhunter97)

    Maps
    Overworld

    Nether

Delayed due to the technical difficulties

    The End

    Unknown

    The Planets
Every planet contains a crust and core, some have a thin outer layer and others have molten mantles and two stage cores. The cores and crust material vary from planet to planet but as a general rule of thumb is the larger the planet the more valuable the materials it holds.

    Overworld
The Sol system, contains eight planets and six moons. By far the most hospitable solar system discovered so far. However it is plagued by monsters: living corpses that were suspected to have been created by an ancient civilization though a process that would seem like necromancy but was in fact technology so advanced it was identical to magic, giant spiders that were mutated to their freakish proportions by radiation, the infamous creeper rumored to have been genetically modified eons ago, and the enderman that first appeared only one year ago.

    Mercury

    Venus
This planet is rich in soil but dotted with volcanic craters.

    Earth
The planet you begin on, Neptune and Jupiter are visible in the distance. This is the only planet with water, grass and life.

    Mars
The planet is rich in iron and the surface is dusty from dryness, but clay "rivers" and ice caps suggest water may have once allowed life to thrive. BEWARE the Waters of Mars.

    Jupiter
The largest planet of the system, orbited by thee of its moons: Io, Europa, and Callisto.

    Saturn

    Uranus

    Neptune

    Unknown Craft
The stronghold substitue and home to an End portal.

    Nether
The mysterious solar system is the third closest but no aspects of it can be seen since its distance is 500 light years. The light shows only a bright star in supernova. However one eccentric person claimed to have created a portal to the system that allows near instant travel, and that there is a White Dwarf star with an asteroid belt directly around it of glowing, super heated material. Other claims are of giant jellyfish like blobs as large as asteroids that are capable of some capacity of space travel. The planets also are said to be populated by mutant savages with only the briefest shadow of civilization and intelligence, and other living blobs of lava. Images seem to show some mysterious structure on the edge.
    Zephocose

    Solantoo

    Neperan

    Turinpine

    Terracolse

    Obsiderane
A massive planet of pure obsidian. Scientist also detect a powerful and mysterious energy from deep within this planet.

    Mysterious Object
Picked up by satellite images, it is thought to be a large asteroid but others say it is too even and clearly made.

    The End
The mysterious system of the Endermen, an incredibly distant solar system so much so that light that reaches Earth comes from the early moments of its birth. As such no one knows what exist there, the only reason that we know the Endermen come from the system is that a mysterious energy radiates from the system, is also found in the Endermen and the Mysterious Craft. Not much is known about this energy although it is unlike any other and that it travels at FTL (Faster Than Light) speeds. Because it of this it is speculated that it is/was artificially created by an intelligent species in The End System. This energy may be the key to traveling to this distant and mysterious system and finding out what is/remains there.

    Notes
-Altering blocks next to certain water, lava, and sand blocks can cause loss of material or lag from falling water/lava
-Gravel is found at the core of Io or Callisto, moons of Jupiter, sandstone or ore crust
-To get to the Stronghold, go to Uranus look out parallel with the rings and your back to the sun. Go to the far left of the planet and bridge out away from the sun, it is far away so keep going.
-To get to the Nether Fortress, go to Terracolse, stone with an area of netherack on one side. Bridge out from the netherack side, perpendicular to the netherack.
-The stone block under the Earth is for spawning purposes.

posted a message on [WIP] [ADV] [Single/Multi] Legends of the Lost War [Updater to anvil, Part 2 Released!]
    Legends of the Lost War
    An Open-World Adventure Map Series

At the heart of every Legend is Truth. As the Nexus and Farlanders prepare to break free, you are the final piece they need. While you discover and confront the legends and lore hidden deep in Minecraft!

More information is under the individual parts.

In this open-world style, you are free to mine, farm, and build. This allows you to establish yourself and play the story at your pace. Stuck? Get better armor or weapons. You are also (sometimes) given places to call home, but you are free to build your own.

There are two story lines, each with its own unique story line that contributes to the over all story, please note that the story will take 3-5 parts with two storylines each. Beware, not all the information is correct, and the only way to find out is to play on the other side. You are welcome to play on each side in the same world, but one side gives you another base only use it in that story line. Finally, the sides are supposed to be the same difficulty, but they cannot be perfectly balanced.

This is a challenging map, however the first one has been toned down. Each part will get subsequently more difficult. I have provided a download for both, the single player map will prevent you from getting the items and story at start due to the spawning in multiplayer. There are no major differences between single and multiplayer. In multiplayer make sure that all players are operators. Have 2-3 players in multiplayer, I was able to beat it with one friend.

While this map has been bug tested, but please report any bugs or misspellings. My friend and I are only human (no I am not the robot in my avatar.)

ANY feed back would be appreciated. Thank You.

    Part 1: Revival

Your village has been attacked by monsters thought to be legends. They appeared a few years ago, but this is the fist sign of aggression. Now there appears to be no one else left. You are forced to make a choice, help the heavenly Farlanders or hellish Nexus. What side will you choose, and can you overcome the defenses put in place thousands of years ago?

Rules and notes for this part only
    Rules
-Don't use the Farlander base when playing on the Nexus half
-Treat all portals as one way
    Notes
-Farlanders are right in Snaketail Cave, and for the Nexus go left
-Farlanders are the recommended side for starting on
    Easter Eggs
-No getting the Easter Egg from the other side
-Your hints are http://tardis.wikia....Family_of_Blood and http://monk.wikia.co...the_End,_Part_2

    Part 2: Apotheosis

Having been freed from their dimensions, all is not well, the Nexus and Farlanders are crippled and on the brink of vanishing, It is up to you to cement your loyalty and risk your life for your new ally. Can you survive the new deadly conditions of these innocent looking dimensions?

With more unique levels and interesting dimensions to tame, Apotheosis will keep you busy for days. While the background revealed will clear up the story, but new developments will have you wondering.

There are now three diamond blocks placed around the central/beginning area for you to collect, these are here because of the increased rarity of ores. In addition there is a chest that contains one diamond, iron, and gold block in the same general area but is harder to get to. These are only for these parts, again due to the increased rarity.

I have also added a diamond block to the chest at the end of levels to make them more rewarding.

On a side note, I have been sitting on these maps for a while. This is because i test these maps multiplayer, I suck fighting alone, and was unable to get on multiplayer with my testing partner.

    Easter Eggs
-Your hints are http://bigbangtheory...necki_Incursion and http://stargate.wiki...m/wiki/Teal%27c

posted a message on Moss and Lichen as new items
Cool Idea, but what if you placed moss spores on certain blocks (cobblestone, stone bricks...) and after awhile the block will turn into a mossy version of itself. Then a similar effect for lichen spores on stone, wood, and other blocks.
