I know i should be updating to 1.7, but i just finally discovered the awesomeness of biome specific textures... mostly because of 1.7 adding all these new biomes.
So today i did the savanna biome.
New grass, tallgrass, side grass, double tall grass... also, new dirt for that biome, so it's not all just grass.
There aren't all too many vairents, but here are both kinds of grass:
8 kinds of regular tall grass, 4 kinds of double. If anyone wants to suggest a rare varient/easter egg for the savanna biome, i'm listening.
i seriously tought that was a real savanna. Is this intended?
now, the real question here is... should i bother with the pelvic bone and such, or just make it ribs all the way down. A rib monster with a skull on top. A rib caterpillar that stands upright. A riberpillar
At any rate, the ribcages have guns, and this may very well be a reason to panic.
Any feedback here would be appreciated.
In general, i plan to turn these skeletons into mechanical automatons, using a skeleton as their frame. There will be sprockets and chains and that sort of thing acting as tendons... but what should i do for the other stuff? It needs other stuff. No idea what kind of other stuff, but accessories and such. Eyeballs, hearing... things, stuff!
add a heart in one variant, and some blood is aways good. top hats and fancy suits on some would be nice.
They won't be cows, they'll be autonomous mobile mushroom growing tanks.
They will have glass tanks full of dirt with mycelium on top, and perhaps some fungusy looking roots running through, and of course some kind of custom mushroom overlay. I won't be using the head for this. Just the legs and body.
Anyway, i could use ideas on how to make it a bit more interesting, because right now it's just going to be a glass tank of dirt basically.
Anyway, here are the legs at least.
maybe different variants could be with the glass broken, and thus the fungi would grow thought the body, and maybe evem form a giant fungus on the place where the head of the texture would be.
or, just for fun, one varient could have an ant farm inside the tank.
Passing by for suggest: one rare variant of the cows (or any other mob, it doens't matter) could have no skin, and be covered with some old coat, but in a way you could still see it had nothing outter than flesh under it.
I know it doens't make that much sense, but who cares?
I figured i'd make it a fancy suit of some kind. I went with tweed, because i thought it seemed like a rather steampunkish material, and it has neat patterns, and gave him a bowtie, because bowties are cool. Each item has a bit of gold on it so you can tell it's gold armor.
The helmet is a bowler, monocle, and giant moustache (i said i was gonna do it, everyone thought i was nuts, but NOW IT'S BEEN DONE!)
There are some bullet holes and blood on the back of the jacket to perhaps give some insight as to what may have happened to its previous owner...
the only real diference i've seen so far is that resource packs invlude sounds, languages, and other stuff, and texture packs just include... textures. i don't think there will actually be any "easy to break" thing on it.

Yes, if possible

i'd say redpower 2, because it has lots of decorative blocks that woulb be nice to see in the pack style.

oh, in that case, it's looking like the sheep had a severe beating, but with no blood. as you said, the sheep here are tough, so,... i'm condused.
