Also, when lagged out of a game while mining a block, once rejoining the game the state of the mining animation that was visible when last in the game will be stuck at that position even once the block has been mined.
Hello, I have had a community world on minecraft that I was putting onto a flash drive for movement between houses. When I attempted to load up the save, it would not load. In my storage settings, the thumbnail for the save remains the same, but when I open the file in Horizon on my laptop, it tells me that the savegame.dat had an error extracting. Is there any way to recover the world without a backup through extensive file scanning and editing manually? I have put days on end into this world.
Try force updating. If all else fails, use MCEdit to check if you have any modded items in your worlds, or items from the 1.8 update (the items will cause crash)
Okay I force updated, and that worked. Maybe it was because of the mods I had installed. Does anyone know if CJB or TMI can corrupt the .jar file?
Okay, so, as many other people, I thought it would be cool to try out the new 1.8 leak and see what was coming in the finalized release. After I had seen my share of it, I reverted back to my backup of my 1.7.3 .jar file. When I tried to join my server that I usually play on, it logged me in, finished downloading terrain, and just stayed at the blank dirt menu for a couple of seconds. Then for a split second it flashed a java error in the form that you get when you add mods without deleting the META-INF folder, and then the screen went to black and stayed that way. I tried another server. Same thing happened. Okay, so I just needed to delete my .minecraft, right? Nope, didn't do a damn thing. I tried it at least 3 times. During these three times, I found out that if I even try to play SSP, the same thing happens. I have no explanation for the events occurring, nor do I have the slightest idea what the java error says. I tried to get a print-screen of it, but it appears and disappears too fast.
