Why you making it a block, and not like the fence?
Also, why no transparency in the skin? It looks strange

I love the idea but I'm not crazy about the texture. Still its a great mod and I could always make the texture different myself. I was just thinking about instead of the black make it see through.

Sounds like a great start, I might use it just to watch some zombies get owned, some suggests from a modder to a modder:
1: When you go for the next update of the mod, look at how to do transparent block and texture so you only have the barbs and block models so it can look more like a fence. (If you need help ask me because I know how to do it)
2: I notice people with the "no pics no clicks" make sure you have pictures ready when you add the mod page, you can lose interest without having pictures (I've learned that the hard way)
Overall looks like a fun mod. Especially for your first mod.

Seems like a really nice mod, but 3 hearts is kinda overpowered. Good job though! Will download when pics are up :tongue.gif:
Thanks for the feedback, pics are up! I thought 3 hearts was good because you could just substitute BarbWire for cactus, This was to make BarbWire seem better that cactus for defence. Thanks!
Everyone, BarbWire hasn't been very successful, I have only good views in the first day of my mod being up. So, I can either keep this mod up, and not so regularly update it (I don't really want to bother updating it), or I can take it off the forums for good, your choice.
Also, feel free to look at any other mods I put up.
Hello everyone! I have recently made my first Minecraft Mod, I call it, BarbWire! You can craft "Sharp Wire", and craft those into "Barbed Wire Fence", these blocks are similar to cactus, though do not grow, do not break with an adjacent block, and deal 3 hearts of damage, instead of 1. Crafting recipes are below, please give me ideas for BarbWire, or give me your opinion, thanks!

In next update: Barb Wire Fence will slow you down like cobweb, but you cannot move through it. Barb Wire Fence will look *kind of* like a fence (transparency). *Possibly* wire cutters Punching Barb Wire Fence hurts you

Maybe studded on the outside? Inside would hurt... But what if you accidentally wear your shirt inside out? Ouch...
