    I believe the dev team said something about the dungeons and how they stop producing loot after a few entries by one party. I'm pretty sure that's intentional.

    As for the lag, you could try changing your performance, setting graphics to fast, and lowering your render distance. Otherwise, it may be an issue in the installation.

    Yeah, hardly the instalation, as I deal with mods all the time - and in this case, I made as pure as possible, not even using NEI. Strangely, as soon as I "Open Lan", the chunks gets near something normal. I am sure something is loading two times everything. The ghost items, the inability to "center click" the block in creative to get the block (you do, but as soon as you place it, it dissapears), and the heavy load and now the fact that in lan it works lighter... It might be trying to load certain aspects of the game as the single player mode was inside a multiplayer mode, like a virtual machine. It is a theory, but we have too many duplicate data.

    For example, I have tried NEI at some point. The recipe window ALWAYS shows the recipes two times. It is too many duplicated data.

    Well, I don't have problem with the dungeon, as I have beaten then twice and I find great how challenging it is for me alone.

    My problem is that my save don't load anymore, or better yet, it loads FOREVER. Now, it finally froze at the "Loading World, Building Terrain" for 32 minutes. The thing is. it is gradually reaching this point for a time. The problem is that this bug have no crash data so the only thing I can do is explain the bug.


    It all began after my first entry in the dungeon. The chest and itens were fine, with very few cases of ghost items. Now, after the third time, pretty much ALL items are ghost items - I don't get a single loot from then at all. For me, the dungeons are useless in that save.

    Second, there is the unload. If I advance too far and try to return, I get to see the world unload where i am and it unload under my feet. The first time it ocurred, it started to cause a greater load time everytime I started the map.

    Lately, as opening the map started to take more than 5 minutes to load, I noticed that there was a small lag in the block placement sounds. As I worked more and more on the map, it started to take more and more time to load and the lag on the blocks increased. The last time I played, it took 20 minutes to load the map, and even if I placed tons of blocks, it was making one sound per second - and if I forced the block placement too fast, it would go to the point of making all my blocks dissapear and then "replace" then again, one by one, one by second.

    Now, it finally loaded after 37 minutes, and quite frankly, it is only bearable to play because I am on creative, creating stuff for my show. But to actually play at the show... it became impossible to actually play or share the map for others to play.

    I am at disposal to offer any information or even give the save file if needed.


    EDIT: the latest recurring error. It loads ZERO chunks:

    I don't know if I have to input all 3 keys at once, or it's just a bug, please explain to me what is happening.


    It happened once to me. Log out and log in was the solution I found in my case.

    I don't know about the coding terms, but it seems very similar to a bug I had first time installing this mod. Try to update your forge to use exactly the same one on this topic's links (and also install Player API and Render Player API). If it is already the case, and no mods are there to conflict, I have no idea how to help.

    When Aether made the move to FML that changed things, and I just went with a fresh instance place FML, Player Api, and Player renderer and bam worked. However, now I am in game and 90% of my items are missing their images. I am thinking it is probably id conflicts, but ID resolver didn't pick anything up at all. So I am going to hand assign all the IDs and give it another go. It could also be a issue with Optifine or even NEI (btw NEI does not show up when I open my inventory (bug or working as intended?)

    I would bet Optifine, since it is know for causing strange graphical glitches between certain mods. Might be the case here too.

    It is not an ID conflict, unless you are using more mods than the Aether, since it was made to not touch vanilla ids.

    It may be true, but Player Model API does, and the fact that he had many mods installed and got an error makes important that he removes all that may or may not conflict.

    The mod is for version 1.5.1. while your game is 1.5.2. It won't work.

    There never was guarantees that it would work on Minecraft current version, so you better backtrack this topic for alternatives to get 1.5.1

    Hum, just tested a bit, tried the servers (and failed), and played for a while.

    I want to know where and how report the bugs I find from now on. There was one - where any fall damage would cause death five second after the landing - but once I restarted the game, it didn't occured in any of the three following plays.

    Also:


    Crash and Burn. I didn't even get the chance to drop AetherII in the mods :\

    sigh... been waiting forever for this to come back :(

    Remove all the other mods. Aether was always highly incompatible with many mods, and you have a lot of them in there. Run Aether alone, and then try to install one by one.

    The EnderLord have a texture problem - it doesn't load it... entirely.

    I don't know what happens, but it loads the cape and some details, but not the skin itself. So, they look kinda strange, but a bit off:



    Usually, when that happened with other mods, all I had to do was change the capitalization of a letter - because the code is case sensitive, and will not read "skin.png" if it is coded to read "Skin.png". However, I tried to rename enderlord to Enderlord and EnderLord and it stopped to read even the cape and details in both cases.

    So, I presume that the skin is coded for another file name. If it was just an UV mapping misplacement, it would show transparent or partial skin. That "white skin" only shows when there in no file for the texture at all. Will keep on trying, but you obviously might want to look into that.

    EDIT: I guess I understand what is happening, taken that the details of the skins appears very slightly over him - the skin is with the effects of the "enderlord_eyes.png". what means it is only acting as a light effect. Still the question remains: is the mod understanding that the texture for the skin is to act like the eyes, or the mod is mapping the skin to another file name?



    I used Painterly Pack cosmic enderman skin on enderlord texture and... I made it pretty?!?

    Hello, my name is Ricardo Terrivel, and I will explain what is the reason behind this request.

    SHORT VERSION:
    I would like to use a mod that allows the void fog to be added at superflat maps

    LONG VERSION:
    I made up a game, called "The Abyss of Asura", way back in the release of 1.0. The game consist of installing 3 mods that will give you power or advantages, and 3 mods that will add monsters and danger to your life. The game happens in a flat map deep below layer 10, with nothing but bedrock blocks. The objective of the game is to build up a mountain like structure up to the sky and draw a simbol with blocks on the top layer.

    The catch is: if the map only have bedrock blocks, what will you use to build? And in a flat map, the monsters will spawn in absurd numbers and you will have no cover. And to add all that, you are in an ABYSS, meaning you see little of what is around you. Everything you can do depends on the mods you installed. If the powers will help you a lot normally, they might not work on the monsters from other mod - and all the blocks you can have depend on what the mobs will drop, or if random structures will spawn all around.

    The idea of the game is both a search for that old discovery/survival/creative feeling we all have initially on playing Minecraft, and testing and putting our favorite mods to test.

    The void fog is something that is part of the charm of this. My original series had to stop, but the view is really ominous when you have little sight and those small dark bubbles around you when something jumps out of dark.

    However, there is no void fog on superflat. Not even as an preset code option. This is why I humbly request for help of anyone who can.

    You forgot to install the Manager Pack!

    Strange, because the main post NEVER mentions the need for another file, or any of the other mods I have asked for this before I installed this mod. And since nothing is properly explained, I won't visit a site that I cannot recognize by the adress itself. I want to try this mod, but now I am not sure how trustworth it is. Any explanation?


    EDIT: My mistake. It actually DOES mention the need for the manager pack, but it wasn't mentioned on the old download links, where I went straight into (i am using a 1.5.1 version). It works and it is mostly compatible with many ender-related mods. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    I am getting a new personal modpack ready to play, and I thought it would be nice to have those things around. Better yet, to control one of then.

    My problem is not LittleMaid mod - I got it working just fine. My problem is always with PlayerModelLittleMaid. I decided to take a 1.5.1 copy of Minecraft to test JUST the mods, and nothing else - as the mods I choose for my modpack are from 1.5.2. The thing is, as soon as I place the main file from PlayerModelLittleMaid into it, I either get a black screen from start, or I open the game, but the a server shutdown as soon as I hit to start a map.

    I use forge, and I do understand you need the FML add-on with the original file, plus the ModchuLib. I tried with all the files and without, and I am still far from understanding what should be a give: what are the files actually needed for the PlayerModelLittleMaid to work after all?


    EDIT: One nice night of sleep and all is working properly. I even managed to make the modpack work as (close as) I intended. Now, to tweak config files and edit textures!
