Hey everyone! As the title says, this map is going to be a Portal map in Minecraft (with the Portal mod). Me and my friend, __Toothless_ (previously 'alicornsfly') are making it and it is going to follow the story line of Portal, we might release it in chapters or just all of it combined (chapters = more playing for you guys, combined = more time till the map, but you wouldn't have to constantly swap maps, we will release it every week as progress updates though).
We have finished the end (not the battle) and it took us WAY to long (we got distracted for over 4 hours and then took us 2-3 hours to do the actual thing).

Version 0.01: Finished the 'End' bit.
Version 0.02: Honesty, never actually played the game (either of us), but after we finish it, we will get STRAIGHT back on the track of the map.
This is probably advertising, but a (brilliant) free server host is aternos.org, I have been using it for over 2 months and I love it. It's only problem is that it is a bit restricted with some of the settings, but it's good anyway.
EDIT: You can add up to 10 players (say you decide to put 5 slots on, you'll need at least 4 people on, otherwise the server will shutdown after 10 or so minutes.)
1. It would have be coded to detect the world generation though, right? It would be rough using the command to teleport to a forest, only to find yourself stuck in a tree, or underground.

1. Because you would be in creative mode (most likely), it would teleport you, let's say 100 blocks from y:0 so you don't get stuck in anything.
What do you mean by that? He can't help you unless you copy your launcher log. (as shown in image)
A problem is that you're using a hacked client, I don't know if that is what is causing it, but you might want to try without it.

I would rather not make command block heavy maps (such as puzzle games e.g. tetris in Minecraft). I just want to make a simple-ish adventure map with with my friend that would be enjoyable to actually do.

It's an interesting idea, but I don't feel like it's all that necessary.
It's very easy to just explore terrain in creative, and there are plenty of third party tools that let you scout out seeds and biome (including coordinates). AMIDST for example.
A command in game wouldn't be completely obsolete though. Partial support.

WARNING: THIS SUGGESTION WILL BE VERY BRIEF DUE TO THE LACK OF'SUGGESTION-ISM'.
As it says in the title, I'm suggesting to teleport to a certain biome. It would be like this: /tp [player] [biome].optional: [Center, East, West, North, South.]
You would teleport to the center, to the edge of the biome in each direction (East, West, North, South).
Also, it would be creative / op ONLY, unless permissions were changed.
This would be only really be for convenience for adventure maps and such (you wouldn't want to create a new world, look for a biome just to find you don't want that particular formation, it also can take a LONG time to find that specific biome.)
I am fully aware that it wouldn't work well in some biomes such as Forest and Plain biomes, because they spawn next to each other so it would be confusing, but it still would be cool.

Inspiration for this idea: I got my inspiration for this idea from when I was trying to find a Mushroom Island for a creative base.

I done 3 rounds of this (fun ) map and these were my scores:
Round 1: 200 seconds (3 minutes and 20 seconds)
Round 2: 152 seconds (2 minutes and 32 seconds)
And last but not least, Round 3: 127 seconds (2 minutes and 7 seconds)
My average was 159 seconds.
Review time: Altogether fun map but I didn't really like the really fast slime-piston one, too be honest though, I thought this was going to be a horrible (no offence) but then when I played those 3 rounds I really got into it and was by far the best wipe-out map I've ever played, thank you for making this!!! (8/10)

Go into the command prompt and type these things:
First, type:

And then type:

To finish it off, restart your computer for these to take effect.

Hey everyone! As the title says, this map is going to be a Portal map in Minecraft (with the Portal mod). Me and my friend, __Toothless_ (previously 'alicornsfly') are making it and it is going to follow the story line of Portal, we might release it in chapters or just all of it combined (chapters = more playing for you guys, combined = more time till the map, but you wouldn't have to constantly swap maps, we will release it every week as progress updates though).
We have finished the end (not the battle) and it took us WAY to long (we got distracted for over 4 hours and then took us 2-3 hours to do the actual thing).

This is probably advertising, but a (brilliant) free server host is aternos.org, I have been using it for over 2 months and I love it. It's only problem is that it is a bit restricted with some of the settings, but it's good anyway.
EDIT: You can add up to 10 players (say you decide to put 5 slots on, you'll need at least 4 people on, otherwise the server will shutdown after 10 or so minutes.)

I would rather not make command block heavy maps (such as puzzle games e.g. tetris in Minecraft). I just want to make a simple-ish adventure map with with my friend that would be enjoyable to actually do.
Sorry if this is the wrong suggestion to ask for map suggestions, I couldn't find one.

WARNING: THIS SUGGESTION WILL BE VERY BRIEF DUE TO THE LACK OF 'SUGGESTION-ISM'.
As it says in the title, I'm suggesting to teleport to a certain biome. It would be like this: /tp [player] [biome].optional: [Center, East, West, North, South.]
You would teleport to the center, to the edge of the biome in each direction (East, West, North, South).
Also, it would be creative / op ONLY, unless permissions were changed.
This would be only really be for convenience for adventure maps and such (you wouldn't want to create a new world, look for a biome just to find you don't want that particular formation, it also can take a LONG time to find that specific biome.)
I am fully aware that it wouldn't work well in some biomes such as Forest and Plain biomes, because they spawn next to each other so it would be confusing, but it still would be cool.

Inspiration for this idea: I got my inspiration for this idea from when I was trying to find a Mushroom Island for a creative base.

Round 2: 152 seconds (2 minutes and 32 seconds)
And last but not least, Round 3: 127 seconds (2 minutes and 7 seconds)
My average was 159 seconds.
Review time: Altogether fun map but I didn't really like the really fast slime-piston one, too be honest though, I thought this was going to be a horrible (no offence) but then when I played those 3 rounds I really got into it and was by far the best wipe-out map I've ever played, thank you for making this!!! (8/10)
