I can't really think of anything that I could write here, so I'll just put the basics.
Ever since the first time I played Tekkit, and saw what could be done with mods, I wanted to make one more amazing than any.
I have so many ideas, so many saved up textures, and one copy of the mod from two years ago.
So, I hope anyone who is even remotely interested will consider working with me.
The basic idea I have is to create a science oriented mod.
There isn't really a good way to explain it.
I just want more possibilities in minecraft, so more people can enjoy it.
Yes, this post is random and sort of strange, but putting my dream into words is very difficult.
Please message me if there is even a 1.987% chance of you wanting to work with someone as dedicated as me.
I have a fairly interesting idea for a Sci-Fi themed mod. About two years ago, I began development on a complex mod I originally called "TWoGC" (The World of Grif Co.) Yes, the name was terrible. Development stopped for about four months, before I found another coder, and began the new project, "Prometheus". I have a very large amount of textures, skins, and other stuff saved up in a folder, doing nothing.
Things I plan on including (if I find a coder), are:
Chemistry
Space! ( Limited )
The Sol System
Black Holes!
Future Era Weaponry
References to 20th and 21st Century media ( sodapop cans, candy bars, dvds, etc etc )
Civilization
More realistic resources, Steel, alloys, Example: Metal Forge ( Plasma ): Carbon Powder + Purified Iron = Steel.
Radiation poisoning, heat exhaustion, and hypothermia.
And much more.
In terms of my abilities, I have nearly three years of experience in texturing, one year of experience in Techne, and an endless mountain of ideas.
I simply need ONE coder. If you are interested, please leave a reply below. Thats pretty much it for now, thank you, and good bye.
I hate to ask this, because you most likely get asked this a lot, but, are you planning to add new features to the 1.6.4 versions, or just continue updating in 1.7.4? My private server depends on your mod, but most of the mods we use are only for 1.6.4.
I am bored with vanilla MC. I already have MF reloaded, metallurgy, all the UE mods, and buildcraft. Any other science mods I haven't got? Please, if you know of any others for 1.6.4, it would be helpful. Thank you, and goodbye.
Download the mods you want, then download minecraft forge for 1.6.4. Click it, install to client. Run minecraft using the profile forge. Then, open your .minecraft folder, and go to the mods folder. Then, put the mods you want into it. If that doesn't work, you may have mods from an outdated version of the game, or possibly incompatible mods.
I recommend listing the types of mod you used, because they may not be compatible. The meta inf is deleted by forge and replaced with its own version. If you want to do some jar tinkering, they are in the versions folder. The bin folder is no longer used for minecraft.jar. I also recommend posting a crash report, so I can look into this to help you.
In some updates, the code changes completely. Try to imagine making a machine that required the earth to spin in the direction it currently is, and then, suddenly, earth reverses its rotation. Now, picture that in code, and you might understand. If you do understand, you're an idiot. If you don't, you're a normal person like any of us.
My texturing in preparation for a coder and modeler to volunteer is going fairly well. Making a good Dalek texture is difficult, but I've finally found a vanilla model that fits the Dalek. Sontarans, and some of the other enemies of The Doctor, will be much much harder to make though. Plus, figuring out how to make a tardis texture before you have a modeler who has made a template for you is also incredibly difficult.. Still, I will persevere! Soon, maybe, if I get a coder, I might make a WIP topic for this. Whoops, I forgot to pull the wibbly lever in mid flight! Gotta go!
The concept of over-complicated is actually good. Planets and cities will be very very large, so its a good idea to have builders who put an immense amount of detail into the spires and towers and complexes of the city. Once we have some of the mod done, I would love it if you would be willing to help us design one of the Meta-City Core-worlds. Until then, its just a resource pack and some useless 1.5 code.

Please tell me what sort of project you need work done on.

I've done quite a bit of work with Minecraft textures in the last few years, and was wondering if anybody had a project they could use some help with.
And a little example of my very old work:
Note, as I'm 15, I'll work for free. I've been bored recently, so I need
something to do.

The only real example of my work is this: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/requests-ideas-for-mods/1334625-doctor-who-need-coder-have-modeler-and-artist
Thats pretty much it. Thank you if you spent time reading this, and if not, I understand. Please do not post replies out of pity.
