I deleted an re downloaded minecraft ~10 times, disabled my firewall, but ever since the 1.7~ update I keep getting stuck on the downloading page 'determining packages to download' or if I select np 'done downloading' for ever, any suggestions?
I am looking for mods that work with minecraft 1.1 that make a 'Super flat' world (In the world generation menu) more fun to do in survival, or more challenging. Any mod suggestions would be appreciated.
I am doing a flatland survival (where there is 3 dirt then bedrock, with structures) and was wondering what mods would make the experience more enjoyable. Any mods at all as long as they work in 1.1, thanks
I found that while having your head above water you can not see the breaking animations of blocks beneath water.
I am playing minecraft 1.81 SSP, I can duplicate this bug, and lord knows my computer specs.
So far as I know, so do not quote me on this, they will never despawn, i did this myself in a similar situation, however if its a long way to land, it seems better to rebuild on land, as it will take forever to get there and back, only to find that perhaps no eggs made chickens, or connect a landmass with a nether portal and sprint/minecart there.
I normally play like this actually. Food for though thought, caves that have entrances on the surface, what then? And +1 for making a Doctor Who reference.

I am having fun with this, have 20 diamonds already and a tree that spans a castle in size, i am in the process of planting saplings to make it leafy. This tree is one luck tree, except for the fact the first thing i did was near kill it except for the stump (I used a 4 high tree to make it harder.) 3 hours and an exposed skeleton dungeon help alot.

On topic, I suggest doing a more vauge representaion, making a map of russia using obsidian for borders, and the usa, with some missile silos, mc edit to copy them.
