Hmm - Out of curiosity... I'm guessing you're 'Windows' user - Is so are you 32-bit or 64-bit ??
If 32-bit, check to see if your view distance isn't set to 'far' - I believe you get lags if it is & you're NOT using 64-bit java
Well... I have both 64 bit and 32 bit of both Java 6 and 7, so... maybe the cause is that I have too much Java... lol.
- Got anything else running in the background (antivirus updating / Downloading 'stuff')
If using Windows - use [Ctrl]/[Alt][Del] & look in the task manager to see if anything else is using CPU cycles.....
- Perhaps you're using a [high] HD texture pack ?? - I have 'stutter' if using anything over 64x HD packs
- Are you using optifine ?? - I got better FPS results with that
- Just my browser and media player.
- Tried that, nothing out of the ordinary.
- No, using default texture pack
- Yes (Smooth version)
Although I must mention, the lag spikes go away if I stay in one area for a long time (so the game doesn't load new chunks) so it's not a BIG deal... would be nice to get rid of it all together.
Honestly, how do you allocate more memory? I go to setup and put 3072 in the box, great. But I go in-game, press F3 and it's using only 2% of that 3 gb and I see no difference in FPS and keep getting that stupid lag spike -.-
May this issue finally rest in peace. Just checked to see if the multi-core variant functions at 40,000 leagues over the sea and it seems to be working as intended. Thank you for your hard work. :smile.gif:
Why is it I keep getting transparent block no matter on the Multi-Core version of Optifine? I've updated my java, I use 64 bit, and I followed the instructions "If you have problems with flashing or transparent blocks you can try:
A. Disable "Threaded Optimization" in the graphics card control panel (example)
B. Enable "Vertical Synchronization" in the graphics control panel or set the option Performance to VSync."
- The community
Not to generalize but the XBox comunity is a group of people who go into a coma if they spend five minutes not killing somone in a video game. These people are very apt to be greifers. (Keep in mind I own an XBox and live, so i've seen it firsthand)
The Xbox 360 is 7 years old. So if your computer has the below-average / average PC parts of 7 years ago, then yes, it has the computing power of an Xbox.
Every computer would have the specs of an Xbox, sir.
I'm assuming you can't bump threads so I'm going to increase the length of this sentence to make it look like it's not spam and possibly avoid a warning because I hate warnings.

And FPS is not an issue. Just the lag spikes.
Edit: Come to think of it, maybe this is normal.

Maybe I have to enter something in Parameters?
