Have you read the rules? [Yes/No]: Yes
um im new to all this stuff and im not a conputer wiz soooo how do i download this pack
1) download the version of your choosing
2) locate the zip file you just downloaded in your download directory (usually in downloads folder or your desktop)
3) open explorer and locate your .minecraft folder which is usually:
(C:\Users\(YourUsername)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft)
if you cannot find the AppData folder, proceed to step 3.5. however if you have located your .minecraft folder proceed to step 4
3.5) if you cannot see your appdata folder, go to control panel and select "all control panel items" and open folder options. click on the view tab and find and select the bubble that says "show hidden files, folders, and drives" and press ok
4) locate the texturepacks folder in your .minecraft folder (...\.minecraft\texturepacks)
5) move the zip file you just downloaded to the texture packs folder (DO NOT UNZIP THE CONTENTS)
6) if you downloaded the 16x16 version you can stop here, however i recommend you keep going
7) download OptiFine here
8) Locate your minecraft.jar file. On Windows, it's in %APPDATA%/.minecraft/bin
9) Create a backup of minecraft.jar
10) Open minecraft.jar in an archive editor (WinRar/7-Zip/etc)
11) Delete the META-INF folder.
12) Copy the .class files from the downloaded zip file into the jar file, replacing previous files.
13) Run Minecraft and test!
Looks very nice! Smooth and clean.
I think you should put the terrain.png in the first post.
Good job!
P.S. I have to disappoint you. You have very fun nickname for russians. Debil is a moron in Russian. :mellow.gif:
thanks, ill consider putting the terrain.png back on the first post. i used to have it up there, but it was causing slower internet users to load the page very slowly.
Debil also means moron/idiot/retard/stupid/dumbass in many Eastern European nations and some nations in the Caucus region.
This is really great. Especially like your gravel, cobblestone, workbench, the really rough and stony looking furnace and piston, very nice detailing on both your doors. Bark and logs are very nice. I like the heart and armor icons.
Nice work. Thanks for sharing it with us.
i appreciate the feedback, thanks for your support :smile.gif:
thank you for keeping tiling in mind when creating your texture pack. its very demoralizing to see so many poorly tiled HD texture packs, so when i see one that tiles well i get excited. to avoid posting a useless comment, lemme throw out some criticism.
- it's a bit grainy when viewing from a distance, i have found that lowering the contrast and softening lines greatly reduces grain.
- the "tall grass" or whatever its called is much too large. when it takes up the whole square, it hangs over ledges way too much and looks very strange. (i seem to be the only one that is picky about this however).
very nice overall, i can tell you actually put a lot of work into this. I'm especially impressed by how well you re-sized your textures.
thanks for the feedback :smile.gif:
i used to be pretty picky about graininess buuuuuuut after i found out abour optimine/optifog (now called optifine) and it has a feature that gets rid of graininess. i don't focus too much anymore on removing graininess.
as for the wild grass, they have random offsets from the center of the tiles. i made my wild grass so wide because i like them connecting and it looks good on flat ground, but not on ledges. i might do something to change it in the future :smile.gif:
theres some graininess and hardness issues with the resized textures, ill eventually fix them lol :biggrin.gif:
