If i did this correctly and there should be an attachment to this post with an image of a WIP crate in my mod for mass storage of a single Item/block.

It Will display the item in 3D rotating inside of it so you can quickly know whats what without much hassle.

What is something you would change about barrels in other mods that have barrels ?

To help understand what i'm talking about here is a quick explanation: Barrels - A block in game that holds 1 item type. The items in this block are usually accessed by clicking on the block with an empty hand to pull items out of the block or clicking on the block with the same item in your hand to add to the amount in storage.

Also I'll be having time off this Christmas holiday & week after again & will probably be doing lots of Dev Live-streaming again on my channel while I work on the mod!

I've already got it updated MC version 1.10 in preparation for this !

    It will be ok.

Once they are part of the project they are open source & on github anyway.

    Post them however you'd like.

You do have my interest as to what they look like :)

Maybe post a screenshot of them :D

I have been modelling some machines in blender.

    . Ride on trencher

    . Telehandler

    . Big excavator with grapple

    . Mining excavator: front shovel

    . Soil compactor

. Bulldozer with ripper to break through rock.

    . Going to model:

    . Asphalt planer

    . Cement mixer.

If you are interested please reply

Sure if you want to upload them somewhere I can take a look at them. I may have to modify them to make them work & You'll need to be OK with including them in an open source project where anyone can take them and re-use or edit them.
Like the rest of the mod :)

whoa! it can really take 6 weeks sometimes? that's insane. I mean 4 hours is even a lot! Thanks for all the hard work! I didn't realize updating a mod required so much. I have made only 1 simple mod, it was a recipe change that i felt needed balancing. I don't know enough java yet to do much modding. I start my first Java class this upcoming semester so hopefully i can learn a bit more there. I think the most confusing part so far is setting up your workspace. for some reason other stuff in my java workspace, loads with my game even though i did not compile them and drop the ".jar" into my mod folder. anyways thanks again for all the work!

Well 6 weeks may have been a bit of an exaggeration to get the point across :)
But yeah sometimes they can take awhile to upgrade the mod version. One simple change to how MC does things makes a big impact and potentially a lot of work for mod authors to be able to get it working as it did before the change.
The last upgrade I did it took a long time just to get the shading working again.
Good luck with the programming classes :D

I would say update to 1.9 so more people can use it this mod with other mods they like. The majority of mods are on about 1.9 or 1.10. I am using 1.8 alpha 2 version of this mod because all my other mods don't have 1.8.9 versions, just 1.8 and 1.9 versions some 1.10 . That is why i use the 1.8 version and not the most recent. updating my minecraft to 1.8.9 to use the most recent version of this mod makes it so i can't use many other mods.

Yeah from what I've seen it sounds like 99.9% of mods that work for 1.9.4 you can just drop into 1.10.x and they will work. The forge team did some great work to make that happen.

I'm sure when my work schedule allows i'll probably give upgrading to 1.10 a try just to see how much work it will be before I decide. If its 4 hrs it's probably a no brainer and i'll just upgrade. if its a 6 week project i'll probably hold on upgrading the version until i have some time off work to dedicate to it.

Either way thanks for the feedback everyone it helps to motivate me. :D

    Hey zoom ,

Had you committed and pushed to github?if you did then you'd have a backup of the code it's the main reason I use github.... off site backups.

Also I think you need the correct version of Java to recompile mc beyond. I think they switched to Java 1.8 for mc 1.8.9 or 1.9 and prior to that you need an older version of java.

Instead of asking someone to downgrade their mod to a lower version why don't you ask the other mod developers if they have releases planned for newer versions of minecraft. :D
