Why would anyone give you a server for free? Servers cost money to run.
Any that appear 'free' (or very cheap) are likely to be terrible, or scams. You get what you pay for.
You could run your own, but that costs money too (for internet connection, at the very least).
That is understandable some places like Leet.cc(the server host I use that is free) makes money when people or the Owner of the server buy Credits that are used to run the servers otherwise there are other ways to do it but most server hosts that are free use a service called TapJoy a 3rd party way to earn credits without paying them a dime. Though some tasks are tedious it's a great way to earn free credits. On the fact that there is plugin's you can buy with your credits but in terms of Stable I have looked at this topic for a bit and looked at leet.cc though it does cost X amount of credits the server is pretty good(besides the fact that some stuff is disabled but I do understand)
