I'm not the best coder, so I wouldn't be able to help with this, sorry :/. But there is a similar mod out there that may suit your needs until an expert comes by. Not sure if you've heard of it, but it's called Plasmacraft. If you have heard of it, then I probably haven't helped whatsoever. But maybe I'll come back once I'm finished reading my java book! :)

Thanks. I'll look Plasmacraft up, but I hope you or someone else will help me make my mod someday.

I like this. I like this very much. Different stones and new metals would be incredible. The question is: What do you DO with 'em? The stones would obviously be decorative, but you would need a use for tin, lead, cobalt, etc. Adding uses for all of these would probably make it a much for complex mod, which makes it even better is my opinion.

If this ever gets made, I will probably download this. If you can come up with good, fun and original uses for the new ores, I will definatly download this. Also, I can suggest a few new ores, such as pitcheblende and thorite (uranium and thorium ores).

No replys, huh? I had a few more ideas, might as well post them in hopes of attracting some developers. :/

    4. Element golems. They would be able to be crafted just like the iron golem, but with blocks of their own element. For gaseous/liquid golems there woould be a special "tank" block for storing them They would also spawn VERY rarely in caves.

4a. Tungsten golem. A large iron golem-like mob. It has three times as much health as the iron golem and does one and a half times as much damage per hit. When standing on a block of wood, dirt or some other fragile substance with no blocks underneath it, the block will break and the golem will fall through. Immune to lava and fire damage. Drops 0-2 tungsten blocks.

4b. Iodine golem. A large mob made of purple water surrounded by a purple gas and emitting enderman/nether portal particles. If it comes in contact with water the water turns to iodine, a purple liquid with the same properties as the golem above. The liquid and the golem will poison you if you come in contact with them or their gas. Drops 0-2 iodine buckets.

4c. Flourine golem. A gaseous mob that sets fire to any block or mob it touches. Drops 0-2 quartz tanks of flourine.

    5. Quartz crystals, found in three varietys, white, (most common) orange, (citrine) and purple. (rarest, amethyst) They would be used for decoration, or made into vials or tanks in order to contain flourine. (glass could also be used in this application, but only for gases other than flourine, as flourine burst into flames on contact with glass) They could also be crafted into amethyst/citrine/quartz blocks. About as rare as iron, but only found on cave walls at any depth.

For a while now I've had an idea for a very cool mod. The Elements mod! All 118 elements in the periodic table rendered as usable blocks/items in Minecraft. There was only one problem: I have no idea how to code or make mods. Which is what brings me here; with your help (whoever you might be) I can make this dream a reality! Here are my ideas, pm me or post on this thread if you like 'em:

    1. Caves filled with gases. Hydrogen gas would be white and would catch fire if a torch was placed next to it, spreading fire rapidly and stting fir to the entire cave. Chlorine gas would be green and poison you. Radon gas would give you radiation poisoning (not sure exactly how to do that, or how to differentiate from regular poison) and caves filled with it would be rich in thorium and uranium ore (used to fuel the nuclear furnace, thorium is more common in the caves than uranium but both are much rarer outside of the caves). There would be some way of getting the gases out of the caves and using them, hydrogen perhaps for airships, chlorine for killing mobs, and radon for doing.... radon-y things, I don't know.

    2. New ores.

2a. Along with the above mentioned uranium and thorium ore, there would be tungsten ore, used to make tungsten carbide armor an weapons when fused with coal using an cauldron (I'll get to that in a moment). Tungsten carbide armor would be around midway between chainmail and iron, but would make you completely fire proof and lava proof. (as tungsten is the most heat resistant element of all) Swords and tools made from this substance would react to being thrown in lava the way most tools would react to being thrown in water. It would be be bluish-silver colored and be as rare as gold or diamond.

2b. There would also be osmiridium ore, which could be smelted into osmiridium ingots (which would be shiny black) and crafted into osmiridium armor. Osmiridium armor would slow the player down by about 10%, but also make them immune to knockback like that from explosions. It would be rarer than gold but not as rare as diamond and be midway between iron and diamond in terms of protection.

2c. Lead ore would be dark brown and smelted into lead ingots which are used to make lead armor that would stop all radiation damage and be about as good as chainmail. It would be rarer than iron but more common than lapis, gold and diamond. There would also be lead lined vials/chests for safely storing radioactive items.

2d. Ilmenite ore. When placed in an extractor, it would give you "trace amounts" of iron, titanium and zirconium. Three of these "trace amounts" could be crafted together to make a full iron/titanium/zirconium ingot. Zirconium could be fused with oxygen (air could be collected and oxygen, nitrogen, etc. would be extracted from it) to make cubic zirconium which would baisically be diamond. Something would have to be done to limit the OPness of this. Titanium could be used to make alloy cauldrons.

    3. New machines.

3a. There would be an extractor/separator type device for getting elements out of ores. It would be crafted using iron and redstone and fueled by coal.

3b. An alloy cauldron made of titanium. It would be used to make steel (maybe, it would pretty much be a better iron if it was added), cubic zirconia, tungsten carbide and others. It would have have a certain amount of heat to fuse certain ores such as tungsten carbide, with the lowest level of heat being supplied by fire, (under the cauldron) then lava, then the nuclear furnace.

3c. Which brings me (of course) to the nuclear furnace. It would be a normal furnace except fueled by uranium, thorium or plutonium and five, (thorium) ten, (uranium) or even twenty (plutonium) times faster! Also it would be placed directly underneath an alloy cauldron to generate the highest level of heat and the only one able to melt (and thus fuse) tungsten. The furnace would stop when not in use. It would be crafted with titanium, lead and a bucket of water in the middle. I'm not sure how plutonium would be obtained, perhaps with a particle accelerator or something that generates plutonium around 80% of the time and another (useless and highly radioactive) element such as actinum, polonium or ununoctium the other 20%. I haven't fully thought that idea through though.

So that's pretty much all my ideas. I hope you liked them. If this mod idea actually gets used I will come up with more. Also, I know there are other mods similar to this out there, such as the MineChem mod. The difference between this and MineChem is that MineChem is more a "chemistry" mod and this is more a "elements" mod. That mod is much more technical. Not that that is a bad thing. But anyway, I'm rambling now. Hope you like my ideas.

I enjoy Technicpack. I was bored of singleplayer so I thought I'd try out this server. I don't greif or steal (unless of course the rules say I can :SSSS: ) or break a server's rules in any way. I'm pretty good at mining and I'm proficiant with IC2.

posted a message on [1.0.0] More Food [v1.3] New Cool Features!
    Hmmm, suggestions....

    How about:

Pasta. Made from wheat, cooked, and put in a bowl. 4.5 hearts. Add tomato sauce,(tomatos can drop from a new seed/plant) for an extra heart. Maybe add meatballs (six are made from two steaks and an egg) for another extra heart.

Maybe this is overpowered, but I think it's a good idea.

Recipe: three wheat in a vertical line. Cook in furnace. Put in bowl.

Tomato sauce: 1 tomato on a crafting grid and cooked.

Meatballs: two steaks are placed on either end of the crafting grid horizontally with an egg in the middle. Cooked. Can also be eaten individually for 1 heart.

Feel free to change any of this if you actually add it.

I would like to suggest a special painting. An image of a Weeping Angel. It would either be dropped by an Angel or just be another painting. If looked away from it would change position (eyes covered, eyes not covered, teeth bared, etc) and have a chance of spawning a Weeping Angel. After all, the image of an Angel becomes itself an Angel. :ohmy.gif:

I also posted this on the Planet Minecraft page, I hope thats alright.

Awesome mod. Works great on my computer, except for a minor error about not being able to pick blueberrys up. Probably me not you. All I want to know is: do Aether mobs (aerbunnies, flying cows/pigs, moas, etc.) respawn or will they "go extinct" if you kill to many of them?

Hey, I'm Tarentel, and I would like to try out your server.

    Application Questions:

    IGN: Tarentel

    Location: New York

    Age: 12

About you, personal and Minecraft related: I play Minecraft often. I am very interested in insects/arachnids and biology in general.

What is your wish to do on this server if accepted?: The answer would have to be "play Minecraft". I don't really have a specific plan.

What do you like to see out of a server?: I like to see it being fun. That's all I want from a server, whether survival or creative, PVP or vanilla. I enjoy roleplaying games in Real Life, though I've never really done them in Minecraft. Good time to try. :smile.gif:

Do you see yourself as a mature player?: Yes.

Are you a good builder?: My brother calls me "better than Notch". It isn't true of course but I think I can make some pretty nice houses.

How would you like to play this server?: I'd like to build houses, earn money, roleplay, do awesome stuff.

Why should we accept you? I think I'm a nice guy and this looks like a good server. I can also build pretty good buildings as I said.

This is pretty good, though there are a few things I don't like.

    1. Humans being all greedy and not as good as the pigmen. Of course people are greedy in real life but that isn't all there is to them.

    2. Creepers always being evil and wanting to kill everyone. The idea of an entire race being evil all the time has always bugged me.

    3. I feel you should have done more with the '11' music disc. "Creepers were messing with people" kind of seems like you couldn't think of a more interesting idea.

Otherwise, pretty great origin story. I like it, and it makes sense. :Pig:

    Quote from BlueRush011

Sorry this is late, I'm not even sure if you'll see this, but the point is the zombie, skeletons, and creepers are the bigger race. There's hundreds of them, and they see you as a threat as much as you see them as a threat. It's just looking at everything from a different point of view. But thanks haha:)

But you view them as a threat because they try to kill you.

They will attack even if never attacked by you before.

The zombies, skeletons and creepers are xenophobic.

I'm sorry if this sounds like I'm insulting your story.
