I need it to help make the illusion of shifting walls in a non-Euclidean level. Rather the make the outside walls of a corridor change, I can simply fill the changing area with these blocks, then as you move around, only the correct walls will show. If I'm able to get this basic goal to work, I should be able to change the way the cube inverts to make more complicated (although direction-specific) illusions.- snip! -

I got it to work! Here's the mesh I used along with a short video to illustrate the kind of thing I meant to use it for.

I can't think of really any other non-aesthetic uses for these, but I think it's always neat when there are extra applications to new features Mojang adds to the game. Previously something like this would not be nearly as clean, and would require tons of redstone clocks. Now all it needs is a simple clock to teleport the player away to a hollow room if they approach this one.I'm now working on a way to correct lighting issues that come with this mesh, although I think that a more direction-specific mesh would have less of these problems, along with much more practical uses for map makers.

Thats not joke, i have Gigabyte Radeon HD 7770 OC and 512x512 it's good, but 1024x1024 should be better :)

Even if your computer can handle it, its pointless.

Since (most of the time) a block face will not cover a 512x512 area on your monitor, let alone a 1024x1024 area, having that resolution is pointless. The only way you will see an improvement is if you have the game view set up so that any blocks take up more space than 512x512 px. Even with an HD monitor, this is basically only achievable if you are standing right in front of a wall. This is why many people don't see much improvement going from 256 to 512, as most blocks in view will typically be fairly small in terms of resolution.

So does this mean we won`t have an updated texture pack before new years eve?

What?! Oh no! I can't believe that the maker of this pack is prioritizing his time and trying to do well in school! As a result of him doing stuff other than this texture, and my irrational and impatient lifestyle, I am going to be a troll and make posts complaining that we have to wait another entire week! And that's just the minimum! If we don't have an update by 1/1/13, I am just going to lose it! Uniblue not volunteering as much time to a texturepack in order to maintain grades and do something with his life it entirely stupid! What an outrage!

EDIT: This is supposed to be sarcastic, and I am sorry if I offended anyone.

I wasn't directly begging for it, I was asking a mere question, or at least an expectation to when it will be released. Seems to be for another few more months, but I already found some other texture pack that's very similar to R3DCRAFT. At least hoping someone to respond to me saying, "It will be released on..." Something like that ^_^

    Ah, I see.
As far as I know, he has not posted a release date, and I'm not even sure if he knows (I should think certainly not a definite date, but he probably has a week-long range he's not sharing....).

I didn't mean to be rude -- though I dont know how you make a post like that without that result -- but I was trying to say for people to stop begging, and you two happened to have posts about the next update on the [then] last page.

I see no reason why Anyone Should Use This
Texture Pack, When You Cannot Keep it Updated!
Rather than Post Some Good Quality Work,
(And Then Abandon it) I would prefer You Post
    Nothing At All!

What you seem to fail to realize is that Version 1.4.2, 1.4.4, and 1.4.5 all use the same textures; there is no need to update. What also seems to elude you is the fact that there are almost 700 texture images to be edited (this number does not count each bitmap separately rather it includes individual blocks/items/gui elements; but it is still a considerable amount). Uniblue has to juggle this pack, other projects, social life, any work/school he may be involved with, personal time, sleep, and anything else he might do.

In response to your claim of his "abandoning" the pack? He's made 6 posts on the last three pages alone, and one of them was a preview of what was to come in a future update! The part that astonishes (and slightly amuses) me about your latest posts is that you are not only complaining about the rate at which a free service is being produced, but you are accusing Uniblue of abandoning a project which he has, still is, and will continue to put much time and effort into. If you do not see what is wrong with either of these things, you clearly need to work on several [very basic] social skills.

P.S; It Makes It A Lot Less Difficult To Take You Seriously If You Don't Capitalize Every Single Word In Your Post. One Of The Basic Rules Of English Grammar Is That You Only Capitalize Nouns (Specific Places, Specific Things, Specific Ideas), Names, And The Individual Letters Of Acronyms. This Rule Has Very Few Exceptions, So I Recommend You Use It As A Rule Of Thumb When Writing Anything In English.

Why do have such a hard time updating this
Texture pack... You have a great looking pack here
But you might as well still be in 1.3.

If you mean completing all of the necessary files, there's almost 700 of them (i think.).
If you mean updating to 1.4.5, there were no new textures added since 1.4.2, just code changes.

And i might add that if youre going to complain about another persoms work, that they put a lot of time into with no monetary reward, simply to give to the communityy? If youre going to have the audacity to complain about the rate at which something like that is produced, just dont use the pack. This isnt just directed at you--its directed at everyone who is doing wgat you did.

**Sorry for any typing errors, im on a phone and too lazy to revise.**

do you think he's waiting for 1.4.3?

I think he's working on it at whatever pace works for him. Mod developers are real people, too (Yes! They are not little elves that work in the basements of Santa's workshop on the spring-summer-autumn shifts!), and as such they have other interests; interests besides making a mod. Also seeing how 1.3+ all run internal servers with no multiplayer, it stands to reason that the update for 1.2 to 1.3 would be a difficult one. And since 1.4 is based on 1.3, not 1.2, he still needs to update for multiplayer.

I am not a mod dev myself, but I do know what making mods for multiplayer is more difficult because of the need for extensive testing to eliminate any unforseen bugs that could arise, as vanilla multiplayer was already slightly glitchy.

TL;DR VERSION! THE MOD WILL COME OUT WHEN IT COMES OUT!
That might be tomorrow, but it might not be till after 1.6. You need to learn to be patient!
