Mainly just browsing the beta forums, it looks more cleanly done. I am one to actually not mind the white of it all, and the general look. There are quite a few things that I am not fond of...
1. Like someone else mentioned, the forum icons. The reason i am not too fond is now they are all the same shape and tend to make at least to me pretty bland. I like the way it is done on this one where at least the icons have a different shape to them. Makes easier to recognize at a glance when they are not all cubes. I know there are pictures on them representing what they are, but that is not something noticed really at a glance right off. Sure probably could get use to them, as I adapt pretty well to things.
2. I agree with the others that have said it, that the upvote/thanks bit does to be a bit more noticeable/prominent, as right now it sort blends in... Too me a few glances to see where it relocated, although that is a good spot; it just blends in a bit, and being as small as it is makes it blend even more.
3.unsure what to make of the title bar, as it seems almost out of place. It isn't the colors for me, it is something I can't quite put my finger on... Maybe it is for the fact it looks like it belongs on a smart phone...O_o Not sure...
4. The layout is nice, and the collapse is good feature. However when all things collapsed or just having one/few section(s) open; makes it slightly look like a list of titles instead of actually different parts of the form. In a way no way beyond the triangle arrow and list style size being bigger font, there is to tell that they are separate sections, unless you actually knew the site before hand like myself. Might be just a nitpick on my end, but it is how I see it.
5. Also like some of the others the thread/reply count being like it was excel style doesn't help. Think it is better the way it is here, where it says what the number represents right after the number. After all those columns can get pretty long. This one might go with #1 in a way as being able to tell certain things at a glance is sometimes best. Not all things but at least this one along with the icons.
Other than that which has been already mentioned, I don't see very many problems. It definitely loads faster, and that much I do like a whole lot. Plus, no flicker like this site; that is a plus.

The new snapshots I am definitely enjoying to an extent...:D Large portals are something actually nice to see... -
Sep 5, 2013Tamorr posted a message on 13w36a Snapshot Ready for Testing!I know someone mentioned the M being appended to a biome type being most likely mountains, but the only one I've seen so far with an M is Jungle M; And that in both areas of that jungle is a large pool of water...><Posted in: News
I thought was Marine or Marina due to that fact. The jungle was not taller than the rest in that are since the pool of water was actually lower. Just wondering bout' that...
So far I have seen all but the either types of mesa, mega taiga, and all snow variants..(I have seen the snow capped extreme hills as that seems to be everywhere in the worlds I have loaded...
haven't really noticed anything else someone hasn't mentioned....
Overall I have to say it is a great improvement in fps and overall look.:D -

Actually I found out about this recently and assumed it was really recent. My bad to whoever replied to me earlier when I asked why they are getting sued so much...
But still, I don't know anyone who calls any of the morrowind series of games "the elder scrolls" except maybe rarely.
I know plenty of people whom call "elder scrolls" with or without the The part... me included...Of course I wouldn't call it the scrolls series as that would be silly... Since that is too broad of a term... The only reason I do call it by that name is due to the fact that I actually own the second game in the series daggerfall. Not that it would really run on a NTFS system...><
Anyway... *shakes head* this just seems like jumping the gun before they even shoot the bullet out. O_o
Hence shooting themselves in the foot or worse... Didn't really know putt putt was still around... hmm...more or less a copywrite... I just have to laugh at this due to lack of research.... -

you can only search for something you know exists,i didnt know it existed and never would have seen it if it hadnt been here.
What I was meaning the search for feature is for all those redundant threads... like 50+ ones about 1.6.... That may be an exaggeration but it is a valid example. Of course you wouldn't have found cube world without knowing about it, thought I mentioned that...><
That is why I was saying it is nice they posted where they did even if it should be in another section.:D -
Jul 8, 2013Tamorr posted a message on Cube World Wiki is LiveI for one don't mind it being posted after seeing it prior on a youtube channel... Ethos... Regardless of this being in the wrong section, it is not like it is being posting in several threads. Not much of a bother as many of the other redundant ones that you could use the search function for...><Posted in: News
What I did see of the game is a real treat. I would buy if had the money, but in the very least register so I could be prepared for when affordable... I mean when I have enough that is...><
It is nice seeing another in the voxel genre no matter how different it is. That is what a genre is suppose to be... At least that is what I thought. I think this would be better in the discussion section though, not that it really matters to me, since I enjoy seeing it here.:D -
Jun 20, 2013Tamorr posted a message on Curse Presents: "Can You Minecraft IRL?"I can see how they relate...After all I like building; block by block, with each piece that I accumulate over the course of time. gathering resources in the instance of lego is going to the store and buying more parts, where as in minecraft you gather by mining, chopping, shoveling, smelting, and crafting materials....Posted in: News
There are similarities even if they are quite different and many aspects. That was an entertaining video.:D -

Cows eating buckets? It's not April 1st...
Didn't know cows ate metal.
Good to see them focusing on bug fixes, otherwise they're just chasing their tail every time they add features.
nah I guess those cows wanted more iron in their diet...lol
Interesting additions, even if they really don't pertain to me much. If that is a prelude to a new gamemode that would be decent. I don't really use golden apples, however the potions I might. I'm 50-50 on that part. Unsure what to think, but at least it let's us know something is getting done and things are being added, even if few or minor. That is so far quite a bit for the full 1.6, if you add up everything. So keep them rolling...
Interested in seeing what else they add... or change... or fix... -

I personally don't like or dislike the current combat system. It is not something I pay much attention to.
I wouldn't mind them expanding the options in weapon choice, like a spear in the very least, among other ideas out there.
As far as to what I wouldn't want them to change... I am unsure. I am a builder, not a fighter. I only fight when I have to, or want a certain thing. So on that note, I can only hope the changes are not too extreme to make easy/normal too much more difficult, and hoping to balance them a bit more to the difficulties they should be across all of them. easy should be easy, and hard should be hard. Well adding more diversity to what the difficulties mean anyway...

Yeah... that would be interesting. My uncle was mentioning that since they have star wars, why not star trek... I have to agree since they have the other. I mean they have quite a few others.

Well at least they have something similar to doku... Which is the Fantasy pack. Not the same, but is quite similar; at least in concept.
I saw the more variety in texture packs the better. More to choose from. I don't know about mature packs, as that is subjective. However I can see why the Natural one is up there, as that is higher resolution and well more natural to what we would see on earth. Something like that....
I would love to see more sci-fi, doku similar ones myself, if not touches on the rpg fantasy universes out there that are similar in the way of Final fantasy, zelda, and dragon warrior. Or some of the more modern variants of those tipical genres, which we do have a few. Loving the steampunk, and skyrim ones... At least what I saw of the trial editions. I will more likely buy when able to add credit to my account....

Valentine's Day extended...
Now only if I could play it...><
(Note: It runs like 1.7.x for me which is pretty bad, at least with my computer.)
Oh well at least I tried.:)
Like the amusement in this one, very entertaining joke....

I find this topic really odd. Kids these days or even kids around my days had/have more time on their hands than I have had as a child. Granted I have even less time now than I did way back when.
I have never once even thought of maturity through out my life. I have been told here and there I am down to earth or "mature", but never really put much thought into it. I did what I could.
When you grow up moving 40 times in 12 years, you learn very quickly about the time you have to do things. It just gets less the older you get it seems. The only thing that adults have that children don't, is responsibility. A kid can be responsible, but that gets more challenging for some over time. Quite a bit of my childhood was spent packing and unpacking. Life is strange, and I tend to make the most of what I have before me, or what I can achieve.
Missing childhood and all that free time is not something I can really miss too much, as I only had half that in comparison to most kids now & then. I guess I am usually the odd one in the crowd. Been to quite a few different places throughout my country, and 1 on the border. I have seen more in my childhood than most would.
Nothing really is at fault as that is the way of circumstance and life.
What does that have to do with the conversation. Well all I can say is just being yourself and do what you can while it lasts. There is more to life then meeting age requirements of something. I am just glad that schools taught me what they could, even if they did lack in some areas of knowledge/teaching, but they did their best. Also my parents made my youth more fun to sway how much we were moving. I mean I was able to go to a lot of amusement parks due to that.
I don't see myself going to as many as I did then, due to funding needed for those, but I could try in the very least. There is more freedom as a child than an adult, as more things get tagged onto you the older you get. So make the best of it; I know I did, or tried my best doing so. Don't really worry too much, as you may have to at an older stage in life.
Well that is make perspective. Each individual is their own being.

Creative I do use every so often, but mainly to test out things whether it is seeing block mix up in a build to see if I like it or redstone testing. I don't generally build in creative; unless I set forth some rules for myself. I get bored quite easily in creative.
Both modes are decent though, just I prefer one over the other.:)

So many updates for a lot of games in the past couple months... Good to know for now till it is situated.:)

Wonder if pistons work without breaking track... I know they did at one time on the pc with two set of pistons; one for block below track, and one for track.
If so then would be possible to make a station with that coal cart. well in theory. Anyway thanks I almost forgot about that part.:)
0
I personally just use power rails in combination with pressure rails, as well redstone to make stations. I have yet to test if the bugs with redstone have affected my rail stations and lines... Hopefully if there are bugs, as up mentions, they will get fixed in the next version.
Most of my experience comes from prior to this update. Have not gotten to that point in the game in this recent update yet. There are plenty of station videos that will work theoretically. Should not be much change in how they work, assuming the bugs do not affect them much. Only one way to find out is trial & error for yourself on those. I may eventually get around to building a few stations, but that would take a while; since I slowly progress. One note though is that more likely any that use the cart storage systems involving trap door or door may not work right now. Not that those were very efficient in the first place; since prone to breaking down every so often...
Anyway that is all I have really to add, with what I know.

Adventure mode is already in the game. It is just not selectable upon map creation. You have to create a map, save & exit, then when loading it again you will have the option for it as game mode...
The 3rd may not ever happen for obvious reasons; but DLC might with things they come up with. I wouldn't hold my breath for that. I won't say much on hardcore, as that one does not interest me in the least...

no.
It is the ratio of blocks on either side of the door, including the block above door. As long as the sunlight is hitting a shorter ratio of blocks compared to the inside, then it will be considered a house. However if it is even number blocking sunlight, then that will negate it being a house. always has to be an odd number up to I believe 5 blocks to count as a house.
That is just a rough idea, and why the natural spawning of houses in the world actually count as houses.

Unsure how those work on the console version. Above is just what i am guessing as intended behavior that is suppose to happen.

If all gone, then of course no breeding...O_o takes more than one to tango.
well at least you can convert still, so that is a plus, even if costly at times. Hmmm... very odd if trying to get new converted to breed with doors is not working like naturally spawned; that is something I will have to look into when I have time, or able to do that in survival. That might take a while. >< at least for me.

Have not messed with livestock yet in this version. But that is interesting to know.
To answer at least in partial, yes there are limits, but it is a matter to how high or low they are.
Look at signs, item frames, and chests. Then again I am unsure if limit on chests, and it there is; must be pretty high. Regardless there is limits on quite a few things within the game. Villagers probably kept the same limit as before, for all I know. Unsure what it was and is now. Have a habit of starting a new map each major update that is not a patch of some kind...

spawning is another major difference, and how certain things work are some others.
the language they are programming it in is also a difference. Some of the differences are not visible sometimes. So I can only assume this is part of that statement and they ring true to an extent.
As for content differences that is a whole other story...
