I'm sure this hasn't been overlooked but I brought my server down for a little bit last night to work on it. When I fired it back up, I thought it was fine. Then my buddy at work tells me he can't get in. But it was the "authentication failed......sorry" error. So I traced that back to dns/time issues and changed some dns issues on my turnkey server. THEN I started getting this same error here "....IO.NETTY...." I figure great, something different, solution is on the way. That is till I got here and saw....hmmm maybe not. But once I got the system time updated on my server (it was running 15 years ahead of me. I should have asked for lotto numbers first I guess) all was well. I logged in, NETTY was gone and now we are all back in business. Again, I am sure this will probably help no one but hey, I throw it out there hoping someone can build something from it. Good luck and God bless.

Vanilla 1.7.4 on MineOS Turnkey server. Same error here. I get lag too but only running single core 32bit P4 with 4 gigs of ram. It wasn't a rpoblem until the animals in our corrals hit around 1,000 pieces :Notch:

But have been getting this error since I fired up the server. Let it run for 30days before reboot. Love this Turnkey....

Everyone! I learned how to get it working! just follow this thread: https://www.google.c...Xf-gndffvLf85xA (it explains that the thing that is not working is the minecraft world is corrupt and it shows how to easily get it back)

Slushy, this link is for recovering local games. The problem here is online play. I am having the same problem with one of my users. No one else has this problem and he can log in fine on one machine. But his other machine just throws this error. I have rebooted the server, no joy. And again, he is the only one with only the one machine that is having this problem.

posted a message on Launcher 1.3.1 will not allow me to do "Profile Editor"
Ok, this is officially driving me crazy. I am running the latest Minecraft on the latest Java and when I try to change my profile to 1.7.2, the launcher kinda flickers then everything just dings when I click it. And it keeps me on the main launcher screen. I cannot edit my profile to play 1.7.2. I can't even shut it down at that point. I have to ctrl/alt/del and shut down the game from there.

I have uninstalled all Java and reinstalled.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft.
    Virus scan was negative.
    Malwarebytes was negative.
    Graphics drivers uninstall and reinstalled.

I am running an i-7 with 12 gigs of tri-channel Corsair and a 4 GB PNY GTX 680.
Drive system is 4 160 WD's set to striping. Creative audio.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thanks. I have searched here and the web and feel like I am the only one to ever have this problem. And the kids are taking it harder then I am :-(
