I think I'll just sit back and watch. Arguing like this is pointless.
Must I repeat myself, sir? I guess so, only this time I'll be detailed.

The act of debating is a formal exchange of ideas, claims and evidence for them. These bits of rhetoric are known throughout the world as "Arguments". Arguments are generally based around one central belief or idea, with evidence to provide credibility for the idea or belief. This word is often confused with the rural homonym of the word, which is usually a fight between two groups that contains violent and usually vulgar word usage. This thread is an example of a debate, where the first definition of arguments are used.

    thank pwnguin for that!
However, without DukeTidierLeader, pwnguin would not have known of the issue. Crediting him for the discovery is like crediting Abraham Lincoln's mother for the end of slavery in America. Sure, she was a factor in the abolishment of slavery, but she did not directly end it.

It's sad, half of the budder supporters don't even bother to read the counter arguments.
    LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR

If you do support butt/dder, please note that Pwnguin has told you what budder is, and butter is not yellow, it is pale white, before you post, please read everything on the first page of counter arguments, thank you.

That has to get their attention.

Actually, it was DukeTidierLeader who found out what budder really was, not pwnguin.

You really like to argue. Oh wait, you're "debating"
A debate is a formal rhetorical exchange of claims and points backed with evidence, widely known as arguments. Therefore, since I find enjoyment in debating, inherently, I enjoy arguing, yet there is nothing wrong with that.

Correction, he made this thread to argue because that is all he wants to do.
If by argue you mean "Discuss the rationalization of calling gold in minecraft butt/dder or lack of it", then yes, because this is the discussion forum, and threads aimed for discussion go here.

I'm pretty sure they call skydoesminecraft fans "The Sky Army" and currently they are using the power of budder against the evil but derpy squids
    Let me get this straight:

A fictitious army is using the until now unknown power of a highly potent drug to slay evil and mentally challenged marine animals in the Teuthida taxonomic order.

    ...what?

Though sky is quite childish and silly I respect the fact that he took time to ask his fans to stop correcting people, It shows that he has recognized this as a problem and tried to do something about it. Which in my opinion is a good thing.
I agree. It's not really sky that I dislike, without the excessive shouting and foul language he's a pretty nice guy, it's his fans I really cannot stand.

@TVFlea Hm, I suppose. However, as previously stated in the thread, most forms of nasty margarine are about the same color as the representation in the game, so should the fanbase adopt margarine as their "thing"? Also, the properties of an item in Minecraft are the color and shape, which are about the only observable properties, since you can't test the melting point, glossiness, or the taste/feel. Therefore, the color of the item, and the shape, match with some kinds of butter or margarine in real life. I think part of the reason is the partial humor of having "Budder armor", though I agree with your disliking of stir-crazy fans screaming BWADDUR every 10 seconds. Thoughts?

Color-wise, margarine resembles gold better, however margarine is pasty and does not come in any uniform shape, therefore calling gold 'margarine' is as logical as calling gold 'butt/dder'.

We can figure out much more properties than just shape and color. We can tell that gold ingots are reflective because there is a small bit of glare on the ingot sprite. We can tell that gold is conductive because it is used in redstone circuitry. Gold blocks does not burn in minecraft, so we can infer that it conducts heat well. From these 3 properties we can for certain know without a doubt that gold is a metal, because all metals are lustrous (reflective) and conduct heat and electricity to some degree.

Glowstone has, in fact been called Butterstone.
    How peculiar.
I call only call gold butter when I am talking about minecraft even then I only call it butter, not budder.
You might as well ask why Minecraft Universe fans call pigs Jeffery or bats Dillon.
No, I wouldn't ask that because those are applicable names for pigs and bats.
Sky fans (for the most part) are not saying gold actually is butter. In England they call the toilet the loo. But it's still the same toilet.
The English/American waste system naming matter is irrelevant to gold ingots being called butt/dder.

Personally, I am a bit too simple minded to call something anything other than what the game calls it. If it were called plaster, I would still make it into a golden apple and eat it. It just doesn't make much difference to me, but reading through the thread for a little while, I suppose using the term BWUDDER apparently makes you popular in a certain community. Besides, I noticed that nobody seems to have discovered the use of an in-game anvil to solve this issue. With a bit of xp and a supply of gold ingots, you can rename the gold and nobody will be able to contradict you.
However, renaming an item does not change it's properties. Gold ingots will still be yellow, pieces of metal, no matter the name. Quite like calling a book an 'elephant' does not transform the book into a gray, leathery skinned large mammal, renaming gold ingots with the use of an anvil to 'butter' does not make the ingots actually made out of butter.

The best solution to extra vertical height is not to find loopholes in the coding that allow for more finite height but to change the way chunks are stored from linearly to cubicly. There is a thread about this I have a banner for in my signature if you want more information, as I cannot recall everything from the thread.

It's kinda rude calling Skydoesminecraft a college drop out weirdo. I mean, I do agree with your point, and he did explain to his fans not to enforce his iconic namecalling of gold to others. You might just say, Skydoesminecraft is a casual youtuber or something more passive.
While it is not euphemistic to say Sky's educational background is as lacking as it is and is likely to put off some people, it is true (Sky said he had never completed college himself in a Q&A video), and you cannot escape to truth, even with politically correct nonsense.

The anecdote serves it's purpose, to give people some insight of Sky. It shall stay.

No, you cannot edit .class files, even with a fabled "API". It's the way Java compiles .java files.
