I've been trying to make a small little server for me and some friends on another server to just mess around in, but each time I try to connect, it'll say "End of Stream". My IP or Server-Port in the console, when I get disconnected, is always changed. I've tried asking my dad, who runs our own little internet thing, but he doesn't know how to port. Don't tell me any complicated things, just make it simple, please. Here's a more... eh, organized type of my problem, or how I got to it:
1.) Download server from Minecraft.net.
2.) Made a folder on my desktop to get to the server.
3.) Ran the server, opened it up.
4.) Tried connecting via localhost.
5.) End of stream/Connection refused: connect
Somebody please help me, and like I asked, don't make it too complicated. Try to make it simple enough that somebody who has no idea how to code or do anything like that can understand how to fix it.
I play on a Minecraft server [not naming for certain reasons I will also not name] and lately, it's been lagging. The owner has reset the server a few times, but it continues to lag for me. It's gotten to the point that I could right click a chest, walk away, go mine for an hour, come back, and stand there. It would still take forever to open. I can't see my messages that I post for 10-30 minutes, and the game will keep crashing. I don't know much about my computer, all I know is that it's Windows XP 32-bit. I've gotten Minecraft to work with XP, and it barely lags on SSP, but in SMP it's beginning to lag up. Somebody please give me ideas to help me. [Don't go on with the "Do this with your system." things, I can't do that and I doubt I'll get anybody to do this. Just tell me things I can do in-game to stop lag.]
This map was inspired by Skyblock Survival, but I made it with my ideas. The only thing I did that Skyblock did was hover you over a large hole into the Void.
*Insert cheesey storyline here.*
This map puts you in a world that's very limited. You are stuck with one option: Survive. You need to use whatever resources you have around you, and explore anything else in sight. Other then that, there's nothing else to do. Good luck.
In my survival world, I usually go mining once every Minecraft day, and my character is about 74 days old or something, and in that small amount of playing, I've already collected enough cobblestone to fill up an entire double-chest. Can somebody give me some ideas of things I can build to get rid of all this cobblestone? I already had to extend my house twice just to add chests so I can keep storing iron, coal, gold, redstone, lapis, and diamonds. It's beginning to annoy me that I have to go on a scavanger hunt just to find what I'm looking for because there's so much cobblestone!
Okay, I've installed this mod step-by-step just as you said it and how videos said it. I even tried installing it old-fashioned ways and whenever I open Minecraft and click "Enter" after typing my username in, the game freezes on the Mojang symbol and shows an error report (which I'm too lazy to post here.) For some reason, it's not your mod but it's Forge. The link you gave to Forge doesn't work properly, and every other Minecraft Forge that should work doesn't work. Can you please help me? This mod looks freakin' amazing and I want to play it.
Okay, I have installed this mod 6 times! I first installed it with SPC and TMI so I could access it quicker, and everything worked fine until I entered the portal. It said "Building terrain..." then I got the Loading Chunks error. So, noticing SPC didn't work, I installed without SPC. Same case. Installed without TMI mod. Same thing. I finally decided I wouldn't install Audiomod like I had been doing, thinking it might be conflicting with something in the new dimension. Once again, enter portal, Loading Chunks..., crash. I tried deleting EVERYTHING in my .minecraft folder, got a fresh one, and re-installed it. Same. Exact. Thing. Can somebody tell me what's going on?! I really want to play this mod!
This is my first map I've actually made, and right now it's in Beta but I'm working on it, constantly adding things to it when I get the chance. It's one of those maps that's in beta mode forever, because I have endless space to work with. I might eventually find a point to stop and just leave it there, but that's far from now. Anyways, this is a simple flatland map with things spread across it. Your fort is your spawn point and "I NEED TO GTFO" point. This is your fort, and there are two "Bedrock Dunes" outside of it, which are bedrock casings with zombie spawners inside of it. There are two abandoned forts, a ruins fort, and a watch-tower spread out so far. Here is info on all three.
Abandoned Fort: This is just a small fort with a water moat that was destroyed during the zombie invasion. A little difficult to get through, but can hold a few useful items. They're common around your fort.
Ruins Fort: This is a fort made out of mossy cobblestone that's easy to go through and holds some very useful items, depending on how quickly you can find it. However, there are multiple spawners in it. Some are even hidden in it.
Watch-tower: This is the first wooden structure in the invasion, it's lit-up with torches and is a few blocks in the air. This is a good place to hide if you can't get back to your main fort, due to no spawners in or near it, however, it doesn't hold anything but four crates in the corners.
I was wondering if I could post a map here, I made a simple map of a fort with a lava moat, but zombie spawners inside and four zombie spawners outside with bedrock casings to have endless waves of zombies. Probably going to add abandoned forts and ruins through-out the whole place. (It's a flatland map, so I have endless space.)
I got the Saving Chunks... freeze screen during a game I was playing where I make this ship type thing, set a ship control block thingy, make it go at max speed and at the maximum turning rate thingy, and stand on one edge, and when it comes by, strke it with fire to try and destroy it (I'm extremely bored today. :\) and halfway through it being done burning to nothing but the control block, it froze. Maybe fire hit the block and froze Minecraft?
