Finally made it to the treasure room!! Only to fall for the dual trap in there and die :sad.gif: but i made it!! >_<. There needs to be more of these puzzle type adventures on minecraft, they are too entertaining to pass up.
Ok, is anyone else having the problem that they time out when trying to join their own server? I know minecraft.net was dead earlier today but now it's up and running and all myself and my friends do is time out..

Alright, i've downloaded hmod (yes i know it will be obsolete soon) and got my server up and running perfectly. What i would like to know is where can i find a plugin to A. Add the warping system such as /setwarp, /warplist, and /warpto
Also, is there a plugin that will let me mod the daytime and night time? So i can keep it day, or night, whenever i want?
Another also >_< I downloaded and installed the plugin WorldEdit, the one they said still supported Hmod, and followed the instructions on how to install it into the server... I still can't access any of the commands for it. Any tips on what i may be doing wrong?
One thing that i do from time to time is build a nether portal into a wall, then either put a door behind it or just a passageway. So, you can walk right through the portal and to your secret room. (i have mine boobytrapped)
Alright, I've had my server up for a while and it's running quite well in vanilla state. I do have a few questions however.
1. How does one mod an existing server's code? Like putting Bukkit or some other type of mod in, without resetting the entire server and losing the map?
2.Is it possible to use MCEdit or a program like MCEdit in one's server. I play on a smp server often and the admin there "cleans up" Un-needed water and lava from time to time so it would appear you can use some sort of editing program. Any tips on what this program was and how exactly i can get it?
So, lately I've noticed that when i play on an online server the sponges stop water from coming near them in about a 2 block radius from the sponge block. Now.. I go into single player with the intent of making an underwater city and sponges seem to not be working.. they just act like a piece of stone and do nothing to water at all.. Can anyone tell me if I have a problem with my game? Or does sponge not work at the moment?

Indeed i did, and it's just gone. I had already been playing our map after the beta release.. Not to mention my minecraft browser apparently still says it's Alpha, not beta. And i always type save-all. As i said, i've been running the server on and off for a few days now.
So, I created a lan server a few days ago on my own computer. My friend, who now lives in my house, and i have been working quite feverishly on a very elaborate world, complete with a very large strip mine, three story castle, and massive tree house (planted by hand, no editing) Today i start up the server, log into the ip address we always use and BOOM new world, nothing from before... Is there a way to recover my old world, or did I just find out why this game was so inexpensive...?
I'm actually in the process of building a castle atm. It's nothing too special, 3 layers and working on a dungeon/portal room. One of my main recommendations is if you are making it large make sure it is properly lit with torches or whatever you decide to use as light. If you don't do this the game (haha you lost the game) will consider your castle to be a cave and will spawn all sorts of nasties
