I'm predicting the reveal to be ....
a revamped Spellbound Caves!!
I think what extrememan is trying to say is that we have seen sketch do that block variation and style a bunch of times for starting and lush areas before. I for one would love to see something different from him in the future.
What I think we need to do is send someone who doesn't have the community politics about them (I volunteer myself but there may be others) to kind of show Vechs around the established community, excluding all the hate and crap and just showing him the stuff we do and the standards of mapmaking nowadays without comparing it to that of his maps, which were pretty good back in the day. An ambassador of sorts...
I had school so no works been done on my map in ages sooo if anyone wants to help me put in loot and spawners it would be much appreciated. Other than that have a Merry Christmas or Hanukkah or whatever you celebrate. *Moonwalks back into lurkerdom
Possibility of a christmas jam?
Hey Guys ! So I have a neat gameplay mechanic I'm thinking off. Basically the monument items will be easy to get ; but they will grant abilities that will be necessary to complete the area. For example , the first area , Eden Stones , will have lots of narrow bridges and platforms with mobs that have crazy knockback. So the monument item will prevent this knockback. It'll have no attacking power so you'll have to switch out. I like the idea a lot - But whatd o you guys think ?
Also I'm racking my brain for an intersection, so what are your favourite Intersections in Liner branching maps ? (Please post pictures of the intersections , I need the inspiration ! xD)
I found this little gem just now in case anyone was stuck for a dungeon floor design
@Carlus I dont think that the vegetation has any real connection to the lava unless the area was natural beforehand and was taken over by the lava... Perhaps change the natural blocks to obsidian or something more lava-esque? Or change the lava to water?
