Hey all, sorry for lack of activity from me with Chroma Hills.
Had a lot on my plate with life and business etc
So i'm going to get a bit more active with the pack again I also will be having some help to get things fixed and updated quicker also that i will certainly appreciate and I know all those that use it will also
I gotta agree that looks like a memory issue anytime textures are not present its likely you haven't got enough ram to load them all up and remember my pack comes with 1000's of extra textures from vanilla and also a much higher resolution also so needs more OOOMPH
My my, the old man returns....hmmm i mean me not you, or do i? I forget I'm old like you you see. Keeping up so far? I doubt it, excuse this rambling old fart.
Now where was I?
AH YES....errrrm, so how the devil are you good sir long time no see/speak?
Are you going to be tackling the wonders of 1.9 and all the things Mojang likes to change just for shits and giggles??
They tease us with this big Ice cream of updated Minecrafty goodness with lashings of chocolate sprinkles but unbeknownst to us beneath the surface lurks danger, headaches and the hellish sounds of "WHY WONT THIS WORK CURSE YOU MOJANG!!"
I love 1.9 its a PEACH!:p <---please read in your head with FULL sarcasm mode activated

It looks the pumpkin stem textures (there are two: pumpkin_stem_disconnected.png and pumpkin_stem_connected.png) are swapped. I can fix this myself, but you may want to fix this as well for your next release, which I'm looking forward to. The melon stem textures are also swapped.
wow my friend wasn't kidding about your texture pack being amazing.
Sadly I haven't played vanilla minecraft [aside from xbox version] for a good long while.
If I ever head back to a vanilla server that has some fun plugins I will be sure to use this pack, but sadly i'll end up combining the sound files of my other favorite texture pack into your pack lol (ozocraft I have to say has the best music disc files lol)
Are there any updates on getting a version compatible for 1.9? I know its not out yet but they are talking of a pre-release soon. I don't care about getting textures for the new 1.9 blocks. The problem is the serious GUI changes 1.9 introduces. Almost all of the Chroma Hills GUIs are broken with 1.9. I can't really use the pack.
I know Sysclone is busier now. But if just fixed GUIs could be released by 1,9 comes out that would be very cool.
Are yes, I'm going to make a concerted effort to get the GUI's usable for 1.9 SO sad it broke my current ones
To give me a helping hand which GUI's need sorting out for 1.9 is it many? Not looked at 1.9 in a little while!
Any news? I'm a bit worried about the status of this pack
I have been crazy busy with a number of projects and life but I have got some updates on the go that I will put some pics up in the week.
The Wither mob and something many have been waiting on the Chain mail armor. As well as a few quick changes/edits like re coloured command blocks etc
The new Chroma Hills RPG server Clans of Chroma has come on in a big way and is in a beta testing stage now, I often pop on there to see how the team and players are doing, so do come and say hello the team have put an immense amount of work in and still going. IP chromahills.net
Sorry I've been quiet folks I certainly haven't stopped i'll try to check in more
Hey all, apologies for being quiet recently there has been a lot going on in the world of the Syclone.
Since creating Chroma Hills resource pack as its grown in popularity and people embraced my work its turned into quite the adventure and opened a number of doors of opportunity for this 'ol boy. It's been amazing and in the last weeks lead on to something pretty dayum coool
I've accepted a offer and taken a full time position as Senior Creative/Project lead at Mineplex (those who don't know) its one of the biggest Minecraft servers in the world and a flourishing games company.
I'm really excited to be working with the team and having a lot of fun creating/directing/managing the art and visuals side of the company as it continues to expand and grow.
What does this mean for Chroma Hills?
Don't panic,I have no plans to stop working on the CH pack. It's because of CH i'm doing what i'm doing now and do want to continue on with it for me and the millions of people who enjoy it and the 1000's that have supported it with donations.
What will be a factor is how much time I can give to working on it, what with Mineplex and some other projects plus family/life etc
There's also an amount mods that have been started also.
So Chroma Hills is not going to be stopped but I can't commit as much time but i'll certainly push on with it best I can. Probably more in getting the pack finished rather than creating lots of fancy extra connected textures for example. Mobs is kind of a priority plus get the Chain mail armor done.
The purple blocks look great-- extremely dimensional. The endstone bricks don't look as good next to them, they seem a bit soft and blurry.
I'm a bit confused on where all those purple textures are coming from. Did you make the sideways pillar look totally different from the upright pillar?
At first I thought you meant the 4-square texture on the slabs and stairs.... until I saw the block with the horizontal thin lines and vertical rectangle, which made me realize that you're probably right on pillars having different side textures when horizontal. It's hard to tell because you can only see one face exposed on those blocks.
If that's not it, maybe be the one with the vertical symbols on it is the normal block with a different top+bottom? Unless the 4-square texture is actually the normal block rather than just stairs/slabs...
Looking awesome but I do agree with eleazzaar, the endstone bricks do look a little blurry and would look nice if they were more defined.
Yeah that's pretty much what I did I wanted to make some other building opportunities with the horizontal pillars looking not like a normal vertical pillar so added a model/texture variant to just those.
You guys with so many models I feel for its not the hardest thing to change but very monotonous and as Lemon said without a batch converter you gotta be committed to work through them all!
I'll take a look the end bricks they didn't look too blurry in game, wondering if the mip mapping is showing them up a bit in the screens. I will define them a little more though
Working on some 3D chorus flowers, not sure if they will work yet will see i guess.
