So whose played this "game" here on MCF? It just came out a couple days ago and so far its been very successful.

Personally the Anime style was a huge turn off at first but I decided to give it a shot since everyone said it gave them a major case of "that feel".

After playing through once they are absolutely right, despite its obvious japanese influence, the writing, especially the writing, and characters have deep substance that you dont normally find in things like this. The writers of this game were obviously very human.

Just a warning, this game does have sex scenes in it, although they are all "tastefully" done (i.e. not a porno), and you have the option to turn them off, it makes this game 18+.

I'd recommend anyone who is interested to give it a shot.

For those who have played it, discuss.

Put a chip in it so you can play modify it as you please (or play pirated games) while using your real wii for games that wont break the chip.

Yes, thats true about how we shouldn't eliminate it from our lives, but shouldn't we at one point move on from the sadness from a lost one?

Move on from the sadness - yes, but dont stop remembering them.

When it comes to things like 9/11, it was a traumatizing event for Americans and something that it is still in recent memory for almost everyone In America. People will be having a "Day of remembrance" for 9/11 for years to come. I mean, we still partially "celebrate" pearl harbour.

That there is no reason to bring them up when all they will cause is sadness. It's better to move on and forget the stuff like 9/11 than remember it every year.

Its easy to say that when you didnt personally lose someone from that, and neither have I, however its important to pay our respects to the dead.

Also sadness is a "good" thing, in the sense that, death and sadness gives us depth, character and meaning in life, its a reminder that this will all end sometime. Just because we dont like it doesn't mean we should just eliminate it from our lives, but rather show maturity and accept it for what it is and either learn from it or pay respects.

    slightly expressed sensing personality
    moderately expressed feeling personality
    moderately expressed judging personality

Not sure how to feel about this

"slightly expressed extravert" as a sentence sounds weird, as in sentence structure.

I guess I am a "feeling" and judgmental type of person

I expect a lot of introverts in this thread

Can I just get a G.E.D. if I know all the stuff from homeschooling? (Because that's the plan if I go back to homeschooling.)

Highschool, I want to go to college.

Like I said, just ask to be in the higher level classes if you can demonstrate you are capable.

You can only gain from going to regular school.

Ill restate my original point, if you really want to be an artist or start your own company, you have to network, and you're just making it harder on yourself if you do homeschool.

Because they're really gonna teach programming in class...and if they do, it wouldn't be for 3 years and by then I would've learned more than them.

You'll have to be more specific, do you mean college or highschool?

Either way 9/10 times you can just ask the teacher or someone in charge to get into the higher level class and demonstrate you are capable. OR sit in the lower level classes in college cause they usually go into a deeper level of material and practice makes perfect right?
    Quote from TheKillerMan

What is the need to leave school? It's not a bad idea, but you'll be stuck at a certain low wage for the rest of your life unless you get a diploma or you get a G.E.D. (Or you get promoted, which is very unlikely.)
I say if you want the most money and you don't want to go to school, just get a G.E.D.
But if you want a job that pays a lot. You go to collage. You get a degree on a subject you want to do, and make some damn use of yourself in this world.

Sources: My brother who dropped out was expelled from school. My father who got his diploma and is making much more money than you would think.

Theres other ways to live longer, exercise, socialize, eat right, and genetics.

    Quote from odiedodi

Nope. Moderate consumption of alcohol is one of the best things a person can do to prevent coronary heart disease. Dr. Curtis Ellison put it this way: "abstinence from alcohol is a major risk factor for coronary heart disease."

Somewhat out of the question to this thread.
On topic: Stay in regular school. You develop the social life that most people go through. You won't get a girlfriend by staying at home. Most chicks (Not all of them!) don't like an inside guy who stays inside all the time and wont hang out with them.
Plus it will be hard to find actual friends. This is a big factor in school.

Going off of this, humans are social creatures and non-medical depression stems from being alone, surrounding yourself with friends will make you much happier I'd be willing to bet.

    Pros:
More time to learn stuff you want to learn.
    Cons:
    Less friends :sad.gif:
    No insta-degree!

College is for learning what you want to learn. Not to mention nothing is stopping you from learning what you want to learn at regular school, you'll just have to either do it on your own time or depending on what it is, wait till its covered in class, and then you could go to the teacher for additional information.

Care to elaborate on that? /notsarcasmlegitquestion

Im gonna take a S.W.A.G. and assume he means after you've started drinking regularly.

EDIT: Nevermind, found what he was talking about

“Data have come in from all over the world. Studies have focused on both men and women, various age groups, and people of many ethnic groups. The conclusion remains the same: those who drink moderately live longer and have less risk of developing heart disease than those who abstain from alcohol. Published papers now total in the many hundreds.

Is there any benefit to homeschooling over public school? At all?
