Oct 4, 2013Swinger posted a message on Saturday with Sach: My First NightAh.. my first time. Beta 1.6 I think.Posted in: News
Spent the first few days punching trees, wandering the world and experimenting with crafting. I would hide in the walls at night, holding my head, praying the moans outside would stop. I tried going out and facing my fears once.. next thing I know, I'm in the middle of nowhere, in the dark with nothing.
I decided to make a massive dirt castle with a tower that reached up into the clouds. I dubbed it "Tower of Ambi" in hopes that where ever I was in the world, I would see the tower and know how to find home.
I obviously didn't understand chunk rendering back then.
When I died, I checked the skyline and saw nothing but clouds. I never found the Tower of Ambi again. - To post a comment, please login.

i'm getting up there :tongue.gif: i think this one was around 135-140, i just don't want to get TOO high up lest i fall off and lose my dragon (like a certain airship... :dry.gif: )
personally, i'm using a mod called capecraft :biggrin.gif: but there's a whole bunch of mods that let you add capes so it shouldn't be TOO hard to find one that tickles your fancy!
also the cape mods usually just edit a single class file so it does WONDER for avoiding incompatibilities :wink.gif:

LEARN**.. you edited it to make another mistake.
it's all good and well how you want others to take up reading but perhaps you should take up spelling in return?
just a simple suggestion, don't mind me!

don't hate on the guy for it, he's just trying to be helpful :dry.gif:

yeah! definitely what that guy said!
old minecraft proverb: it's not fun if there's no threat on your life
also who doesn't love danger? it just makes the wood feel so...deserved.

That's intense !
Alrighty, I tested all the recipes and gotta love the resistance boost, (the skeletons couldn't even hurt me!). The only issue was that the buffalo and mustard blocks spawn way WAY too much. I mean, once I found new chunks, they were in every cave, on every stone surface and every cliffside! :blink.gif: And they're so bright they almost glow in the dark! It got too ridiculous for me by the end. But other than that the mod was fantastic! :smile.gif:

i played it initially on 1.73 and the snow and overall ambiance make it one of my favorite maps, easily. i haven't downloaded the Gold Edition yet simply because i'm hanging tight for the upcoming enchanting/brewing/battletower edition before replaying this masterpiece. (it's killing me on the inside, i'll just hang around beating down the enderdragon as i wait) speaking of which, i'm waiting with baited breath on this finale included the end. all in all, even though i fell into the lava in the nether castle and lost all my stuff, incredible map, you gave me an adventure. 10/10
p.s. sweet beard bro, even though i was slightly disappointed you didn't actually look like a orangutan

in the first post you have a map which shows all the generated dungeons spawned at various parts, reasonably far from each other (some on the opposite sides of the map). whenever i use the program on a map all my dungeons are spawned pretty close to each other, like 200 m apart almost all in one biome. :/ i'm not sure how to set the default distances between dungeons (i'm a noob when it comes to these things), if anyone can help me out, it would be much obliged ! i just want a map setup like the one in the frontpage :laugh.gif:

you make a valid point! i'll guess i'll get to experimenting soon, i'm looking forward to what you're going to do with the rest of the effects :smile.gif: (especially night vision! )

anyway you can tell me what each of the sauces do? cause i have a pretty potent brewing system going on right now, i'm just looking for the effects that notch...forgot to implement fully. :huh.gif:
regardless, this mod looks pretty awesome, i'll deff download once i clean out my jar! :tongue.gif:

the anvil mod has helped me out for than you can imagine
i had one issue though.. the sprites for anvil kinda messes up the Dragon Egg sprite; (i'm not sure i can fix this using Forge or Resolver or whatever, seeing i haven't ever used either before) but if anyone can help me out, it would appreciated, although it's not really stopping gameplay, just a cosmetic annoyance :wink.gif:
sweet mod though +1
