Besides, do you think that Mojang is going to sue every server owner who doesn't comply?
This whole thing isn't going to work.
Finally someone who understands. -

This EULA is just full of loopholes. Everyones arguing over "well technically, you can do this." and "technically you cant".
Its funny how mojang is trying to prevent the whole pay2win thing from going on but at the same time they are making servers
pay2play.
Either way Mojang is wasting their time. -

Does anyone else think Mojang is turning into a socialist company that doesn't want anyone else to utilize their game? I think that after Realms kicks off, they'll eventually put in so many regulations, that servers will die off. I wouldn't be surprised if they banned Bukkit and other plug-ins that aren't there own making eventually...
I'm starting to think they are trying to kill off servers so that they can make some quick cash from Realms, even though their attempts will most likely be futile.
Anyone who expects to wake up on the morning of August 1, 2014 and see every single non-compliant server shop gone is just plain ignorant. They're not going anywhere. -

By donation I mean the dishonest definition that servers these days are using, aka purchasing. It seems as if a lot of servers think the words donate and purchase are synonyms. -

Also, what about new, startup servers? I know from personal experience that nobody wants to just "donate" to a new server. They always want a perk or rank in return. This means no more new servers.
You and I both very well know that most servers won't just stop accepting money. How do you expect all the huge servers like Minecade, The Hive, and Shotbow to just stop taking donations? My point is that this rule has been in the EULA for years and servers have been accepting donations for years, a grace period isn't going to change anything. -
Jun 17, 2014Swimmer1929 posted a message on EULA Revisited: an Updated Q&A From MojangVery few people will actually comply with this EULA. Unless Mojang starts enforcing it, which I doubt they have the capability or time to do.Posted in: NewsQuote from jtpetch
Not in ANY way saying I am going to disobey the Mojangstas, but how will they enforce this EULA? The only way I could see is to have some people check every single server in existence by joining it. And how in the world would they do that? They don't have THAT many employees.
My point exactly. Not trying to encourage it but there are so many ways to donate without Mojang knowing it's not even funny. -

No, not unless you were actually offline and connecting to a LAN server. You still have to log in to mojangs authentication servers. I guess you could trick the launcher into thinking you are offline... but it could check to see if it is recieving any information from outside the LAN.
Wow, true. Didn't think of that. -

They could remove offline mode, and make it so if the game is modified at all it will fail.
Though I do agree, I doubt they would do it.
If they remove offline mode, couldn't you just stick to a previous version? - To post a comment, please login.

Is anybody else experiencing this?
Vanilla runs fine on my PC, with 60+ FPS on max settings. I installed Optifine and now it takes forever to load singleplayer saves and every few seconds the game freezes for a second or two despite having plenty of RAM allocated.

Are you offended by me referring to you as a foreigner? Don't agree with me- don't reply. It's that simple.
