    you could try the MFR fertilizer, and giving it bone meal or industrial fertilizer,

    you could also try the researching and making the lamp of growth this helps plants grow when given herba.

    also if you are trying to make mass bread for the Rep quest you could substitute wheat for rice, oats, rye or potato all of those can be made into flour for bread.
    if its the rep quest that you are trying to go for you could also make a mob farm to harvest tainted goos, the Xeno biologist tainted goo quest is repeatable, and the refresh time is 1 game hour compared to the bread quest which is like a day and a half (why does the Xeno biologist need all that goo?)

    not sure how to actually get bone meal to work on wheat again.

    Mana beans will only grow on the bottom side of a log in a magical biome, magical forest, or eerie. I'm not sure if they need to be next to a node, I found that once planted all of them would disappear after a few minutes, even thou they were in a chunk loaded room made of nothing but silverwood logs and multiple pure nodes.


    I eventually gave up on growing mana beans and just made a farm and mob grinder and alot of void jars and just started distilling and voiding the excess stuff.

    I know probably too much about Blightfall, if you read through the hall of fame I'm one of the beta testers listed, thou I've never beat blightfall !! I didn't want to play too much into the end game untill I found a good server (which has been difficult todo). when playing with others I prefer to take a laid back approach, unless I'm mining, then its my jam.

    the same pipe system that I used to extract liquid doesn't put it back in, Thus I asked the question in the first place, I was using thermal expansion ducts and servos (because thats what I had on hand) I hear about people using the extra utilities on their blood altars, but I personally don't favor EX U pipes and nodes, but if I have to use them I will.

    so I finally decided to dive into blood magic and made a 2nd blood altar, and now I want to make a farming altar specialized in farming and exporting Blood into my big altar.


    I've successfully found ways to pump life essence out of a blood altar and into a Barrel, but now I'm having trouble find a way to pump Life essence back into the Altar. Anyone have any advice?

    Mob spawning rules are confusing.

    from my understanding

    most Neutral mobs will spawn once a areas is cleaned of Taint, all Neutral Vanilla minecraft mobs are obtainable via spawn eggs from the supplier, as well as the MFR zoologist villager.

    zombies, skeletons, Creepers, witches, slimes, and endermen will spawn once a area is cleaned of taint and the population of tainted mobs in active chunks has shrunk sufficiently.

    zombie pigmen, blazes, imps, heatscar spiders are obtainable via the supplier spawn eggs
    --there are no natural blaze spawners in Blightfall. period

    Ghast and nitro Creepers eggs are obtainable via the black market quest

    Pech are claimed by some to spawn from magical forest or eerie biomes, however I've tried to test this and create optimal conditions for them to spawn and have thus far have not seen one pech. (proof that they can spawn would be appreciated)
    -- if you are trying to look to obtain mana beans with a variety of aspects, the thuamcraft wizard villager does sell these.


    there are a number obsidian stone hedges across the map which will act as wisp spawners at night.

    MFR Blizz, heard that they spawn at night on the Frozen biomes once enough area is cleaned of taint and the tainted mob population in active chunks has shrunk sufficiently.

    Wither Skeletons will only spawn during the fight with the Gaia Guardian, Whats the Gaia Guardian- see botania Mod wiki.
    --note there is a recipe for wither Skeleton heads which can be unlocked via thaumcraft research.

    I don't know all the spawning changes that happened but I can tell you there were big and subtle changes to spawning rules. However farm mobs should still spawn and vannila mobs should still spawn in cleaned areas. is nothing spawn at all?


    I've just started a 2.1.5 map and spawning seems to be working like it did in the previous updates.

    you can use cactus green plus a blue slime ball to craft a green slime ball, also green slimes will sometimes just generate in the ocean in under water tunnels if you really need the green slime,


    there is also the slime tree which you can get from the tree supplier which which grows green congealed slime which can be crafted into green slime balls.

    no slime generate even if its not cleared, and you can get both kinds of cactus from supplier reward bags (vanilla cacti and Saguaro)

    Incidentally, does anyone know if cactus are part of seed bags or sapling bags from Driskel?
    I foolishly spent my one slime ball on jar labels before I knew it was possible to duplicate them with alchemy.


    yes you can get cactus from supply bags, also you can get slime balls from slimes that will pop up around the coast of the swamp bay area,

    you mean the one in the south parts of the desert, the kind that has chest of goodies and dynamite at the bottom. dynamite which can let you mine materials of epic hardness.

    Rapier and Air Arrows both do nothing. Even if spammed Air arrows are barely able to kill even a tainted hunter...


    Armour piercing works against the vanilla armor stat, however some of these mods might have armor or damage resistance which doesn't not work like vanilla armor. So it is not guaranteed to work the same all the time against all mobs.
