As you can see from the title, I have made a sort of mash-up of the various texture packs that are on this site. Although I have made a lot of edits myself, most of the original content is NOT mine.
Basically, I made my way through this and downloaded all of the "Alpha" texture packs. I then started with Taehl's Texture Pack's terrain.png as a starting point and combined the various elements of the different packs as I saw fit. Along the way, I made various minor edits to the terrain.png and the items.png to better suit my tastes.
Some things I personally made:
[*:37qi21sb]The window texture[*:37qi21sb]Some color changes and edits to the 4 Ores[*:37qi21sb]Darkening/roughening up of crops and bamboo/papyrus/reeds[*:37qi21sb]New kind of window on the door[*:37qi21sb]New type of cracks[*:37qi21sb]Minor roughening up of various terrain textures[*:37qi21sb]Changes made to some weapons/tools[*:37qi21sb]The sun!
Sorry to bring back an old thread (was doing google searches on this subject), but I'd rather not make a new topic. I made a video which I think demonstrates the OP's problem quite nicely.
See how the UI scales up when it gets past that ceeertain point. Is there any way to prevent the UI from scaling while still making the window fullscreen by either dragging the edges or F11?
you continue to make unfair accusations against the community while grossly simplifying the situation into stark hues of black and white without the slightest inkling of valid evidence. I find this mildly obnoxious and gives me the feeling that whatever it is that you're trying to get across is being lost in translation from idea to written word.
Again I implore you to re-read my post that you so deemed "laughable," and "ill-informed" (and then shortly thereafter calling me a "hypocritical asshole"). Perhaps you'll find that if you stop trying so desperately to have an argument, you'll find that we agree on certain cases in regard to this whole hubbub.
In addition, I might take your posts more seriously if you were to stop putting so many logical fallacies in them (Ad Hominem, Straw Man)
I think you just won the internet with your awesome demonstration of [almost] perfect English (not that I'm an English major or anything) and colorful vocabulary.
Everyone should listen to this guy.
No wait...

I thought Notch wasn't going to be updating creative anymore. He has enough on his hands working with Alpha that I don't think he should be worrying about creative.
This will be an interesting thing to follow. Remember to try and spice up the building a little bit. Don't just make it uniform and square the whole way up. :biggrin.gif:
Also, Corvak, that looks like a Command & Conquer NOD laser. LAZ0RS!
Ah yes, you have a good point sir. Perhaps it's just a psychological thing. Since I KNOW I have greater than 60 FPS, I PERCEIVE a smoother game. The mind is a powerful thing.

Hopefully some of you out there will like the kind of combinations I did with this texture pack and will use it. Also, thanks to all of the awesome people out there that make awesome texture packs! Go check out this thread and take a look at some of their creations!

I am curious Death, DID you use an editor? That looks a lot like obsidian to me!
And enlighten me, why exactly is this the best house ever? Explain.

1. Stop making useless threads.
2. Do a little research before you do ANYTHING.
3. Common sense.
The game is in ALPHA (bold, italicized, underlined for dramatic effect). Notch is testing. Be patient my young padawan.

Well, if he released it with just one server that everyone had to play on.........
If you're implying that there will be server software along with this release then I couldn't agree with you more.

Well, isn't it kind of obvious that you shouldn't start new threads based solely on the fact that you are bored?
If you really want to, you can discuss the workings of SMP here: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=18196

Way to kill my fun! Lol.
You make a good point though.
I WOULD explore even further, but I would like to keep my save small enough so I can at least map it out with Cartograph.
Cryogenical, Mr. 324MB, have you tried mapping yours?

I then made a small base in the middle of the continent where I built up some resources from mining.
Lastly, I decided to leave the continent, and begin a new life somewhere in the outlying lands. You can see the beginnings of my city to the east.
Oh, and, it really only takes like 1 minute to sail straight from my first base to my city.

Are you serious?
My biggest is about 50MB.
