Jan 26, 2012Sven_The_Slayer posted a message on Snapshot 12w04a is Out!You need to be able to craft a bowl of milk and place it somewhere then the cats will stop following you. I had a few but it was impossible to tame more because the cats following me would spook the ocelot .Posted in: News

Sep 2, 2011Sven_The_Slayer posted a message on 1.8 Updates: Changing the ChestsIt's definitely not a left hand holding sand. The block you are holding also is hidden when the hud is, so you cannot see the block and not the hud. The picture doesn't look like it has had dimensions altered to erase the hud either.Posted in: News
The left of the chest also doesn't look like it has a block sitting next to it or at the corner because you can still see the side of it. - To post a comment, please login.

If the armor was to apply itself directly to the actual skin and not in a layer over the skin that would go a long way to making the armor look better.
Also the armor could use possibly have a portion of it that could be edited so we can have a crest but still be able to tell what is diamond, iron, leather

That was a limitation of the piston mod. Will this limitation be in the official release?

Having more diamonds = advantage
Finding hidden rooms = advantage

I like the second version of the mock-up better then the first but this...
... is an interesting idea as well and it would be interesting to see the texture made.
There really is no reason to be apposed to this idea. I can understand not supporting it but to actually say "no"...
If it were added it would not change anything for those who don't want it. If they want sandstone like they have now, they mine sandstone and get sandstone. However if you want to build with the smooth/natural sandstone you'll have to cook it back to it's natural from.

Huh, I could have sworn I was in the discussion forum, I guess I had to many windows open and got turned around
I have seen situations where people gripe against suggestions that were similar but not directly linked.
As for things in the nether. Two people could be trying to discuss weather in the nether while another two try to discuss new mobs, or ores. The next person could come along and not even be able to find the specific information because it's lost in 3 different conversations. I could see a nether ores, nether environment and nether mobs "mega-threads" but there is still issues
Redundant threads: Threads are not actually redundant if they are unique enough to warrant their own discussion. If you have the same idea for a suggestion but arrive at it a different way or with a different mechanic and try to discuss this on a pre-suggested page that is called thread hijacking... which I'm sure is frowned upon.
Adding suggestions to mega-threads does also feel like thread hijacking. "those are great ideas and all but stop everything and listen to my idea
Mega-threads also need constant editing of the front page to keep all information up-to-date. With multiple people running multiple lines of debate this becomes quite tedious for the OP and the majority of information is likely to be lost.

User X posts a wolf suggestion
Moderator locks thread and tells them to go to mega thread.
User Y posts two similar but not linked suggestions
User Y gets flamed for posting more then one suggestion and moderator warns
Mega-threads are a good way to link users to various related threads but they seem un-fit and against the rules for actually discussing all the related suggestions.

Then why even have iron doors in the game in the first place?

The minecraft moderators are also sick of dealing with it and that is clear in the general rules

Also adding new arrow types doesn't actually count as adding more weapons. The Bow is significantly lacking in tiers so that can be done by arrows or bow types, possibly both.
Better bows = more power/range
Better arrows = more damage
wooden arrow = 1 heart
flint arrow = 2 hearts
iron arrow = 3-4 hearts
