No. I don't think most people would enjoy having their buildings destroyed and not being able to do anything about it, just because a random tornado appeared out of nowhere. Same for acid rain. Players shouldn't be punished for going out exploring on an unfortunate night, without having anything to do about it.

I don't see any posts mentioning about this anywhere

If you search for them instead of just looking at the front page, you'll definitely find them.

Herobrine was never in the game, therefore he can't be re-added. Herobrine shouldn't be added at all. He would just be a pain to everyone.

posted a message on Having guns like a revolver and a western shotgun

Your claim that "anything can fit into minecraft" is invalid. Things like monsters, potions, and dragons are fantasy elements that fit into the fantasy theme. There are also realistic animals, like polar bears and llamas. Those also fit into a fantasy element. Modern things like guns don't fit. You will never find a fantasy story with something as modern as guns.

posted a message on The removal of the combat update.
    Quote from QuantumPanckes»

The combat update was a horrible idea, it has ruined the PvP system, and one could argue that the solution is playing servers which have the older combat system implemented, though my sentiment is this is extra unnecessary trouble, this isn't implemented on all servers That may be true, but the ones that do, they're usually pretty big servers. Hypixel, Hive, Mineplex, CubeCraft, and that's only four of them,, and those that it is, may not be able to use the old combat system as newer updates arise, making those of us who enjoy the old combat system miss out on these updates. Well, from my experience, some servers that have upgraded to 1.9+ have some plugin or something that keeps the old combat system.

Furthermore, the combat system removes the strategical aspect of minecraft, which coincides with the game itself, and replaces it with an unskillful, monotonous, pointless hitting people in timed intervals... It goes beyond reason how someone would deduce that this update serves any benefit to minecraft whatsoever, because i see none. Yea, timing isn't a skill, but moving your finger up and down really quickly is!

If there is any benefit you can come up with that i am unable to see, It actually requires skill to be good now. i can provide you with an abundance more to suggest otherwise.

Ask yourself, what popular game out there has this timed attack system, there wouldn't be many of not one.. Well, for one thing, the only popular game nowadays (which is still kinda old) that has swords is Skyrim, and although I haven't played it, I've seen enough gameplay of it to know you can't just click a button over and over to win. And obviously, there's not gonna be a game with that EXACT system. And then ask yourself how many games are fast paced and skill based.

The point is, you must see it, that this update must be removed as soon as possible, why make people go through the effort of making their servers 1.8 pvp compatible? That should be evidence enough to convince you that the PvP update must be abandoned. That really depends if you consider evidence the same as opinions that not everybody will agree with.

Response in bold. Opinions are NOT evidence in any case. The new combat system will never be removed.

posted a message on Unpopular Opinions Discussion

Hello, Minecraft Forumers! Do you have some unpopular opinion that you just feel that you need to get out there? Does nobody respond to you on Reddit's Unpopular opinion subreddit (Or maybe that's just me...)? Well, look no further, Forumers, for this is the place to discuss your unpopular opinions! Any topic, from gaming to space, from television to reading, anything here goes. Feel free to make paragraph-long posts as to why you have the opinion you have. Only rule is no flame wars. Don't get mad if someone doesn't share the same opinion as you. I will start with my unpopular opinion, a gaming-related one. Remember, all of this is MY opinion, so don't get mad at me for having an unpopular opinion.

    Short Version

FNaF is a highly overrated game franchise, and all of the games fail at almost everything, graphics, gameplay, and story.

Long Version (Part 1 because reasons)

Okay, so let's be real here, FNaF really isn't that good...

...and just to get this clear, I'm not talking about the fanbase. Or FNaF World. I'm talking about the main FNaF games, FNaF 1-4 and any games that come out after it.

Okay back to the opinion. Sure, it's not horrible, but it really doesn't deserve the praise it gets. And I know FNaF is kinda old news now, but I had only thought about this a couple months ago, but I didn't want to say anything because I knew the FNaF kiddies would get triggered, and it would be an onslaught of kids that either have a FNaF profile picture or a FNaF username, just saying random crap in all caps.

Long Version (Part 2 because more reasons)

Let me go into it a little more. FNaF is boring, all you do is sit down all night and check cameras and close doors. It might be fun at first, but after, I don't know, the third night? It just gets extremely boring. "Oh but what about Foxy and Freddy????" You're still checking cameras, closing doors, and sitting on your butt all night. It's just that now you have to check Pirate's Cove more frequently, and you have to look harder for Freddy. Not game-changing exactly. And the jumpscares aren't scary, either. Maybe for the 1st and 2nd night, but after a while the novelty just wears off. You get used to the same 4 jumpscares. The only person who I can see getting scared by this are kids ages 6 to 10, which is probably the age range of the majority of the fanbase. Honestly I think FNaF 4 is the best game, but that's like trying to choose which Bubsy game (Bubsy, 90s gaming character used to compete with Sonic AND Mario, had 3 horrible games and fell into obscurity, but recently got a bit of relevancy because of Bubsy Two-Fur on Steam) is the best (Well, IMO Bubsy 2 is the best, but again, all the games are bad). I only think that because FNaF 4 was much harder, relying much more on sound rather than vision, and basically requiring headphones to play, and it was probably the most scariest, but again, the novelty wears off after a while.

Now, let me ask you a question. Why do people think FNaF is amazing? Because the gameplay? NO. Because the graphics (Those suck too imo, but hey, it's a 2D game technically)? NO. Because of Markiplier and Pewdiepie and the story? YEAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!! The only reason all these kiddies love FNaF so much is because of the story and Markiplier and Pewdiepie. Markiplier and Pewdiepie for obvious reasons. Kids like these channels, and if you need proof, they had Markiplier on a kid show once (Gamer's Guide on Disney XD, side note that show sucks). For Pewdiepie, just look at his fanbase! They all obviously saw him play it and say "Hey, that looks really scary! Lemme make Rule 34 fan art of it!" Then other YouTubers caught on and did videos that were FNaF or at least related to FNaF, like a Minecraft map of FNaF or a Gmod FNaF mod or map.

And then, the story. People say that the story is "brilliant" for letting the fans figure it out, but no, like IHE (I Hate Everything, YouTuber with a lot of opinions and a lot of haters for having an opinion, highly recommend him) said, that's just an excuse for having plot-holes. Then The Game Theorists make a theory about the game, sometimes MONTHS before the game comes out *COUGH COUGH sister location COUGH COUGH*. Speaking of Sister Location, yes, I will be getting that. "BUT SEGA (You guys can just call me Sega, that's what everybody that I know online calls me) U SAID U DIDN'T LIKE FNEF!!!1111!!" Let me explain. It seems like Scott is doing something... different with Sister Location. From the looks of it, it looks like it's gonna be free roam or at least partial free roam, and that's already a step up from the standard gameplay of sitting on your butt all night (Edit: As of 2017, I have played the game, however only the first three nights. Not an amazing game, but definitely the best in the series, in terms of scariness and gameplay) . And it looks like it's also gonna be connected to the book, which I never finished (Yes, I got the book. What can I say, I like reading) but DID get spoiled about it (Next time put a SPOILER ALERT, YouTube!), and from what I read I liked it. It was interesting, and shed some light on some parts of the story, and a game involving the book's story seemed nice to me. Again, I'm not a huge fan of the story, but I think connecting it to the book is still pretty cool.

But hey, that's just an opinion... An UNPOPULAR opinion! Thanks for reading!

Sorry if I made it too long, I just needed to get that out, and remember that everything is just an opinion, be nice and don't start flame wars!

    1. So you can only do this in multiplayer?

    2. What's the point of this? Just to have something to follow you around? If anything, this seems like a pain than something that helps you, with you having to feed it. Wolves and Ocelots all have something that helps you, with wolves killing most monsters and ocelots scaring away creepers, so what's the advantage of having a baby?

Nobody's posted to this thread in a long time, but whatever...

I hate it when people compare Minecraft and Roblox. If the people who do that had actually played both of the games, they would know that they're two completely different games, with Roblox a game where you can literally create any game, with Minecraft mainly being a survival / building game.

I like it, and I know there are a lot of other people who like it, too. It's just that the majority can't accept change (there are some who legitimately don't like it, however). I was annoyed with it at first, but I found out, it's not that big a change. Like, you have to wait half a second to hit. And even if you don't wait, you can still hit, just not wth as much power. Not a huge change.
