First off, a new ingot must be obtained. This ingot would probably be something like Metal or Steel, or even Titanium!
For now, let's just call it the Doraemon ingot. Now you need a Microchip.
Crafting Key:
CO = Redstone Comparator
DI = Doraemon Ingot
RD = Redstone (Dust)
AD = Any dye item
E = Emerald
EP = Ender Pearl
MC = Microchip
SC = Sugar Cane
FDP = Fourth-Dimensional Pocket
EM = Nothing
Microchip:
CO E CO
E RD E
CO E CO
Next, an item called the "Fourth-Dimensional Pocket"
Fourth-Dimensional Pocket
MC EP MC
EP RD EP
MC EP MC
Then, the recipe for Doraemon.
Doraemon:
DI CO DI
RD FDP RD
DI AD DI
Now, the Bamboo Copter.
SC MC SC
EM SC EM
EM CO EM
(Fan drawings below, model the item with this as a reference! :D)
Bamboo Copter = Allows flight, but has same durability as Iron. No protection added.
Appears as a yellow beanie hat.
Fourth-Dimensional Pocket = Basically a backpack. Alone, it's the same size
as a chest, but on Doraemon, it's the size of a large chest.
Appears as a white flap pocket.
Those are my ideas, but post yours, and maybe this mod will be made!
This is an AMAZING pack! I uses it in Episode 100 of my survival series, SM34567's Guide to Survival. This will be irrelevant in the future, but the episode will be up in about 70, 80 minues tops? Linked this forum post in the desc, so... yeah. Here's a link. Go to it at about 3:20 or later.
Even the first dungeon was F'ING IMPOSSIBLE. Plain iron armor and a wimpy little iron sword, in a tiny closet of a room, fighting a never-ending horde of zombie pigmen. You never have a chance to grab the stuff in the chest, because the swarm of pigmen never stops, and they just keep killing you over and over.
You can't use mobspawners, unless you make them spawn slower (with mcedit), because if you use them, then it's damn near impossible to lay a finger on the monsters before getting your ass handed to you. AT LEAST give me some decent armor and sword, and make the room bigger. Not much. Just like, 10x10. Enough room to maneuver, so that you aren't pinned in a corner.
Also, make the checkpoints closer to the dungeons. If I'm gonna die 5,000 times, I don't want to walk through the entire map AGAIN just to get back to where I died.
I ended up cheating to get past the first dungeon, but when I got to the second one with the magmacubes, I quit. The idea for this map has a lot of potential, but you made the map so impossibly difficult that it wasn't fun. I understand that the actual Aether is this difficult; however, in the Aether, you have the ability to gain resources and bulk up your arsenal before you take on the dungeon. Also, the dungeons have a set number of monsters to kill, instead of being an infinite stream of them. Not to mention, the Aether's dungeons are much more spacious, allowing you to actually fight.
Dungeons aside, it was an okay map. The incredible easiness of the parkour and mazes took a little bit of stress off of the map. The building skills exemplified were... mediocre, to be generous. Given, there isn't much building involved with something like this, but the least one can do is try to make is look pretty.
You have some potential as a mapmaker. Don't let this bad review poop all over your motivation. You have interesting ideas, but you need to refine your building skills. Most mapmakers don't realize this, but there is a heavy element of psychology involved with producing a good map. You have to think about how difficult to make certain parts, and how to present the scene in order to captivate your audience. Easy maps are boring. Challenging maps are fun. Hard maps are captivating and enthralling (to some). Impossibly hard maps, like this one, will drive people away. There's a careful balance; harder does not necessarily equal better.
That being said, take this as a learning experience and go make more maps. Maybe even redo this one, based on the advice I gave you.
Making an update that is easier. Also, this was my FIRST map, just to test some 1.5/1.6 features. Better maps are coming soon. Just wait for Journey to the Aether II, which has been tested A LOT. Not done yet, but...
