posted a message on The Slaves of the Desert Mine (101 chapters released)

Chapter 101 is out after a long while. The reason why I haven't gotten much writing done is because I've been (and still am) developing a game for a course in uni and that's where most of my creative energy has gone. The story isn't dead and will continue eventually, I can promise you that. In the meantime I'll probably do another cleaning run through the earlier chapters. Update the writing style, remove plot holes, all that fun stuff.

    Have fun reading ^^

I finally did it, I reached 100 chapters.

As is tradition, this is this year's christmas update. Have a nice holiday everyone! And those who don't celebrate, have a nice regular day!

But most importantly, have fun reading ^^

posted a message on How do I COMPLETELY remove attack cooldown?

The limiting factor is the invulnerability after a hit, without mods it is impossible to remove.

    Chapter 99 is out now!

Though, I'm afraid that you'll have to wait quite a while for 100, lots of things to do for university. Then again, in a low-tension section between arcs is a good time to be low on time/ideas.

    Have fun reading ^^

    Chapter 98 is out now!

University has started for me again so expect the frequency of the chapters to go down.

    Chapter 97 is out now.

Honestly, this one should have come out a bit earlier but I had to make some corrections to it. I'm honestly feeling a bit directionless after closing out the Rockhaven arc, I'll just need to get my focus back for the future chapters.

    Have fun reading ^^

posted a message on how do youtubers play very good

Also keep in mind that they don't upload every game they play, which makes sense since a game where you lose within the first few moments wouldn't be good content.

Alright, Chapter 96 is out now! This is the longest chapter so far, clocking in at about 4 chapters worth of length. It's also probably the biggest infodump I have done so far... excluding the entirety of the chapters in the base. Most of the things I needed to add to the setting (but couldn't do so earlier because there was no opportunity to do it) are added now.

    Have fun reading ^^

posted a message on Thoughts & Concerns about NameMC

Here is my take on it. If someone downloads your skin from somewhere, they are not "stealing" it since you are still in possession of your skin, the only thing it may do is create more instances of it across the playerbase. If anything it's a compliment to your skin creating abilities. This isn't the usual "for exposure" argument either since that only applies if you would be getting paid for your art, which you most likely aren't since you're making the skin for yourself.

Chapter 95 is out now! I actually wanted to post this before going on vacation but decided against it because it's the start of the revelations I promised and I didn't want a gap in my schedule while that was my latest chapter.

Right at the top of the crash report it says "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError" how much RAM have you allocated to Minecraft? Have you tried allocating more?

A good way to catch up on features is to read the patch notes, which can be found on the page of each update on the wiki. As for the hovering over food, there is no way to do that in vanilla but there are mods that add that sort of thing.

Chapter 94 is out now. This one is a little shorter than usual, I probably could have fluffed it out a bit but decided against it. I may still do so in a future revision. Anyways, the next few chapters after this one will contain some grand revelations about the setting as a whole that I regret not having worked in earlier but I guess the situation just didn't allow for it. As usual, the chapter is also posted on FFDN.

    Have fun reading ^^

New chapter after way too long. The Rockhaven story arc is really coming to a close now. The chapter will also be up on FFDN shortly.

posted a message on Are premium servers faster than cracked servers?
    Quote from Toadrunner»

Your posts put me in a bad mood. Smart people are able to ask simple questions without calling someone else (a friend? Really?) an idiot or dumb.

You do know that this statement makes you a huge hypocrite by indirectly calling OP dumb, right?

On topic: As said above, premium servers tend to be faster because usually they are run on better hardware. Premium servers are usually intended to accept more players, which again requires better hardware.

In the end, just switch your server to premium to show that it doesn't make a difference. If I understood correctly your cracked friends don't join either way. If they change their mind and want to join later you can switch it back if you need to. It's your privately run server that you don't profit from (unless you do?) so nobody can really tell you what to do with it.
