    posted a message on Help with the "unlimitedTracking" tag for filled maps

    Does anyone know how to use this feature? The wiki says unlimitedTracking is on by default, but after examining the NBT data in the map files, this doesn't seem to be the case.


    What I'd like to do is create a filled map with this feature enabled, so players can be anywhere in the world and still see their "white dot" at the edge of the map (like when using a Woodland Explorer or Ocean Explorer map).


    I've tried variations of this command, to no avail:


    /give <player> filled_map 1 0 {data:{unlimitedTracking:1}}


    Any ideas?

    I'm using "large cube" mode. How many of those kinds of bits are there per block? One click on the corner of a block gives me 343 of them.

    First want to say, I love this mod!! So many possibilities and so much customization! Well done!


    I'm having an issue when using the chisel on a block. Instead of giving me one "bit" when I left-click a block, it gives me 343 bits (almost 5 1/2 stacks) of material. A couple operations and my inventory is full, and massive amounts of bits are left on the ground around me. I'm using Forge 1.10.2-12.18.3.2185 and CAB 12.11.


    Any ideas?

    Sorry if this question has been asked before... I run a server that has 1.8 maps fully generated, and have now updated to 1.9. Will the loot in unopened chests still be determined by the chunk data already stored, or will it use the new loot tables?

    I'm having an issue finding HarvestCraft trees. The only trees that appear to be spawning are walnut, chestnut, pear, plum, avocado, nutmeg, apple and on rare occasions cherry. I have tried a clean install with only HarvestCraft, and it's not helping.

    Is anyone else experiencing this?

    Love this mod! Thanks for picking up development!

    Back in MC v1.6.4, I used to be able to activate 3 smeltery faucets via redstone torches placed underneath the drain block, but now only one out of the three works. Did something change regarding redstone usage that I'm unaware of?

    I'm fully aware he doesn't owe anyone anything. I said it would be thoughtful and considerate to let people know what's going on. I love his mod, but if he decided to stop working on it that would be fine too. The point I was trying to make (albeit with a little snark), was about caring enough about the people who use the mod to let them know where development is at once in a blue moon, not punish them by extending the release date for asking when they haven't heard boo for 5 months.

    Did I say that I feel entitled? This isn't about me at all. This is about manners and etiquette, plain and simple. I've abandoned mods because of how the authors conduct themselves. Being a mod developer doesn't give you the right to treat people like dirt. They should feel honored that people like their mod enough to ask how development is going once in awhile.


    3. He is 17 and probably has a lot more important things pressing then whether the MC community has got an up to date version of NEI.

    Seriously? It would take 3 minutes to post "Sorry, been busy. Don't know when I'll have time".


    That having been said, why not relax and make due with what is available until he feels good and ready to release something? Might help to make the wait more enjoyable. ;)


    I have been making do with Craftguide, thank you. I just come on here maybe once every couple weeks to see if there has been any news.

    I don't expect a reply, or for this to even be read when you take into account there's 884 pages - I'm just curious about the direction of NEI, as other mods have been updated now that depend on NEI - WAILA for example. So it would be useful if chicken_bones found the time to release some kind of information regarding the development, so other developers along with those that use the mod, have some kind of idea of what to expect.

    It could be another year before chicken_bones releases an update, makes no odds to me, I can be very patient. It's just the fact that as the 1.7.2 mod list updates, I see more and more mods on there and amongst various forums with "Unfinished" or "Awaiting NEI" update.


    I agree with you on this. It would be thoughtful and considerate to post at least one status update in the 5 months MC 1.7 has been out to let people know where things are at. Oops, sorry for asking. I guess another week will be added to the release date.
