And yet mobs can still attack you at whatever speeds they fancy. That's what really needs to be fixed.
Right. Especially Skeletons being able to shoot around corners and through walls. Still a problem since Alpha.

Before I used Simplex Servers, I had to use the "best Minecraft host ever". MinecraftProHosting. They claimed that had good services, and good products, but in reality, they had poor services (they didn't even know what they were talking about half the time!), and they were very buggy (When I wanted to switch to a new host, it wasn't even using the right version of Java!).
I can second that. I went through them once when I thought about creating a server of my own. This was back before they had support forums, and their support articles were completely lacking and were probably written by a three year old due to the amounts of spelling and grammar mistakes.
I had a friend go through them about two years ago and they shut his account down for a terms of service violation, which when he inquired about it they sent him an email laced with profanity and "you know what you did, we aren't going to explain it"
Regardless if my friend broke their terms of service, the email he got in return was out of line and unprofessional.

Using sand/gravel to fill in lava and then learning a few versions later that I can do the same with water and farm obsidian...

Was it this?

Could work the same for servers too. For those naughty siblings who go on your account and get you banned from that server you've dedicated the last several years of your life to.

Have you seen a lightning bolt strike a skeleton horse yet? That's rather neat when that happens. That was my experience yesterday playing, just a total random encounter, the game needs more of that.

You can also use spawn eggs on spawners as well to change the mob.

Episode 6 ^
Something I did for the last few episodes including this one was use builds from other players in Minecraft. Its a way to advertise fantastic builds I come across. I've seen it done on other videos. But the next several episodes will not include custom builds, since they form a much more primitive approach.

What is Albion Adventures? Its an episodic series that I have started detailing my adventures through a world of mine called Albion. A bit of backstory on that world, it was my first world created when I started playing minecraft in October 2010. I worked on the world between 2010 and 2012 until I lost it in a hard drive failure, well I thought I lost it... In 2013 another minecraft player found a copy of the world on his computer. So I accessed the world, unfortunately it was a much earlier version, than what was completed in 2012. Whatever. The last three years I spent rebuilding the world from the ground up based on what few pictures and videos I had of it. All of the work was completed in Minecraft Alpha and Beta versions thanks to Mojang allowing past versions to be played. I did this for two reasons. 1. Not to cheat using creative mode. 2. Because that's how I built the world originally, in Alpha and Beta.
So with that backstory, you understand how important the world is to me, its something that has stood the test of time. The terrain generation in Albion is very... interesting, think of three versions of minecraft terrain generation all smashing into each other. Because that is what is happening, all the while I'm having an adventure in each episode. The series is what I call a Silent Let's Play. I don't do any talking. You just watch the player talk. Through the text box.

You can find my episodes here. Episode 5 was just released yesterday. Episode 6 is in production. The third episode summary explains a bit of detail, much like I explained here.
So if you're looking to waste 15-20 minutes of your life, then go ahead and watch my videos.
Edit: Episodes 3 and 4 updated. Episode 4 is 10 minutes shorter compared to previous video.

When was Minecraft (Alpha) Released?
Er... been playing since Alpha and it was released on June 28th, 2010. Minecraft officially started development with Classic on May 17th, 2009...
i'd gladly report the question if the questions didn't refresh.
One other thing to note, how about reflecting questions for versions states, like the diamond height question. Those of us who have played this game since the beginning of development know its 16 and below. But during the official release, Mojang did make it possible to be 255, but that's only if you customize superflat. We didn't have access to superflat in Alpha, hell we didn't have access to a lot of stuff! LOL.

Age: 27
Minecraft skills: Building: Interior design and landscaping mostly. Not much of a builder per say. More of a casual builder than anything. Redstone experience: Light. Never have really relied on redstone. Have learned a few things though.
What has your experience been on Minecraft: I have been playing Minecraft since September 2010. I have been on a few servers, recently ended a tenure of two years on one. I define myself as a casual minecraft player. I build a homestead, gather supplies and resources, and might build something or another once in a while. I'm more interested in exploration. Not a fan of PVP. Though do not mind participating in mini-games if there are any.
Why do you want to join this server?: Looking for a nice whitelisted community, knowing that there won't be troublemakers and whiny children to deal with.
Why do you feel that I should pick YOU?: Well why not? I'm easy to get along with. I mind my manners and always follow the rules.
Tell me something about yourself: I'm a fair bit on the quiet side, don't speak much in chat. Keep to myself. I'm a night owl, so I'm on until the early morning hours. Just looking for something to do while not working my part time in real life job.
