My old save had my first minecraft city, well wasn't finished but i cant finish it now because of stupid crashes.

Think i may play on hard a see how far i can survive or produce a survival save for other people to try out :biggrin.gif:

Is this singleplayer or multiplayer? Singleplayer (sorry I forgot to mention that it was singleplayer)

If singleplayer, see whether this changes anything:

-Go to START>RUN paste in %appdata%
-Rename .minecraft (notice dot in front) to xx.minecraft (so we can rescue your saves etc after game is fixed)
-Start game so it can rebuild original files & folders with the new patch I did that but it still crashed with my original save (I made a new save and that doesn't crash)
-Try out a new world to see if it works ok (try a different number than main world) Tried that and it crashed, I renamed the save to world 2 rather than world 1 but it still crashed.
-Repeat step one and open xx.minecraft and from SAVES folder copy your world folder to .minecraft saves
-test main world Tested and it Crashed
-if it is not working right, open the world folder, look for level.dat and name it level.dat.BROKE
-rename level.dat_OLD to level.dat (you may lose some progress, this rollsback to previous save) I did this and it didn't work because i had saved it loads of times so it hadn't rolled back much (well at all)

let me know which step does not work, you should still have a backup in xx.minecraft so you don't have to worry about breaking anything

Make sure at first not to use any texture packs or playermade mods till the game is stable. Ahh now this is what I thought may have contributed to it because I had many different mods, but it isn't the mods or texture packs because other saves work and it still crashed on a complete untouched minecraft.jar.

Since it may be sound related, see also this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=17&t=90943&p=1377506&hilit=OpenAL32.dll#p1377506 I had a look at that and installed what someone had replied and said to install but it has not worked

Thanks for your help, I just cant seem to think what is wrong it has never crashed like this before.

Hello I'm new to the forum and well I have a problem,

My minecraft works great but once I get in the game load my save up and try to access my inventory or a chest it crashes.

I have made a Youtube video of what happens so you can see for yourself please can someone help Im not sure what is wrong with my save. All the information is in the video description and I will point out that it crashed before the update today so its not because of a bug in the most recent update.

    Thanks :Diamond:
