You could have walls build themselves out of the lava with a lot of complicated pistons and redstone, but they won't go back down unless they're sand/gravel and you pull the pistons out from under them, with room underneath. I can't see you getting a ceiling to move up and down. Floor would be really complex and wouldn't sink back under the lava.
Best alternative I can think of is to build the castle under the lava and have a secret path to the entrance come up and sink down with pistons
A small scale map with a Zelda inspired adventure, plus puzzles and problems to solve along the way. I'm putting this up for opinions, suggestions and general comments. Its currently small and (I think) pretty short. Should I extend it and take longer or just end it and finish it?

For now, just this enderman and the TF2 pyro and heavy theme chickens I made for the unconcluded weekly contest.
Evil Enderman:

(enderman_eyes.png)
Pyro (chicken.png)
Heavy (chicken.png)
They're all 4x definition (4x4 pixels for each default 1x1 pixel) and don't need any patches or mods. Just copy paste the respective mob images (name them chicken.png, etc) into 'mob' file in your minecraft.jar with winrar or similar.
if someone could answer my question, would I be disqualified for including monoculus in this entry? Should I remove it? Thanks.
Contest conditions say you can make any number but only 1 is required, since you've made more than one class creature, you've met the requirement. No reason to disqualify you.
Instructions:
1.Save the skin image you want anywhere as chicken(.png)
2.Get to your minecraft.jar (Windows users go Start>Run...>%appdata%>.minecraft>bin. Others I don't know)
3.Open minecraft.jar with winrar or similar software
4.Open the folder "mob" in there
5.Copy 'chicken.png' and make a backup of it somewhere so you can easily copy-paste it back to reset to the default.
6.Copy and paste the TF2 chicken skin into "mob" folder
7.(Say OK if it asks to replace or whatever)
8.Start up minecraft and go chicken hunting.
