This door hates me. Even wooden doors do it.

I swear to god... Is there some glitch with DOUBLE doors? It's ALWAYS the right side door that's out of sync

GOD even wiring the doors together to one switch with Redstone doesn't work!

How do you make a button

    *edit*

What the christ. This door is TOYING WITH ME now.

I put a BUTTON next to it, you know what it does?

The button CLOSES the door, and keeps it open the rest of the time.

Is there some kind of glitch with metal doors?

Why do we need another completely useless metal?

    Isn't cobalt radioactive though?
Or does it have to be enriched first?

Naturally occurring Cobalt is completely stable (Cobalt 59) and even the most unstable (Cobalt 60) isn't that radioactive with a half-life of around 5-6 years. All unstable Cobalt isotopes are manufactured.

"59Cobalt is the only stable cobalt isotope and the only isotope to exist in nature."

This sounds a bit complicated, some of its good. I like the pruning shears that increase a chance of saplings, but personally I want more saplings. I think that trees should randomply drop saplings as a matter of course.

Loppers are a bit redundant (taking out leaves is fast enough by hand). And the dynamic of getting leaves, composting them and getting dirt is a bit flawed: you end up with masses of ordinary dirt.

No no you don't get ordinary dirt from compost heaps, you get Fertile Soil. I'm pretty sure I mentioned it in the OP. It makes crops grow twice as fast.

Just a quick gripe with the pruning shears:
I have a strong feeling that this is going to cause a wood shortage.

How so? As it is, I'm lucky to get ONE sapling per tree in my world. If I'm extremely lucky I get two. The Pruning Shears would make sure you ALWAYS get 1-4 per tree.

This would also all fit better if trees actually spread themselves.

Okay, so, this is really frustrating. I've spent the better part of an hour carving out a huge underground cavern and making it look nice. There's a staircase leading up to the top level, a landing with nice lighted pillars and fences, etc. and these damned levers are making my OCD rage really hard. This is what it looks like from the outside (and where I'm having trouble)

    :stone: :stone: :stone: :stone:
    :--+: :Iron: :Iron: :--+:
    :|: :Iron: :Iron: :|:

    :|: = lever
    :Iron: = iron door

Okay, so that's what the doorway looks like. What my problem is, when I place the levers for the doors this happens. I hit the lever for the left side, the door opens. I hit the lever for the right side, it doesn't open. It just clicks. I hit it AGAIN and it opens, which means that the levers on either side of the door are ALWAYS FACING OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS.

I don't want to use pressure pads because mobs might accidentally trigger the doors. I've tried redoing the switches, the doors, even the entire area. Nothing works. Help me.

Have you tried reducing your render distance to near? That typically helps me a lot with stuttering.

Nah it was on far. I usually don't have a problem with the game stuttering.

Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't aware that I was supposed to cater my actions to make you happy. Here let me fix that for you...

    Here, is that better? :iapprove:

Irrelevant. It's also George Carlin. You got a problem with Carlin?

Why does it look like he's on drugs, and then like he's going to throw up before it loops?

Because he's George Carlin and that's how he rolls.

He was probably making some joke. He makes a lot of funny faces/noises in his skits.
