    Terraformer and Tile Selector (and Ground Sprinkler/Soil Hydrator).

    I'm trying to maximize output from a farm I'm setting up.

    Because biome matters to growth rates with the Hunger Overhaul mod installed, I've got a Terraformer which I've managed to get working converting Savanna to Plains, but I still have a couple of questions:

    1. Are the grass items and water needed for this conversion consumables? If so, is that per block?
    2. I'd like to convert two 71*6 plots. Do I have to click all 852 blocks, or can I somehow mark the whole region?
    3. It's all the same Savanna biome, but do chunk boundaries matter?
    4. Is it redundant to use both Soil Hydrators and Ground Sprinklers, or do their crop growth acceleration effects stack?

    71*3 blocks seems to be the area covered by a Fan/Diffuser when driven by an AC Electric Engine.

    I chose six because its the multiple of three I'm confident that a Ground Sprinkler can cover (actually a 13x13) when it's being fed by a pump driven by an AC Electric Engine through a 16:1 Gearbox in Speed mode. I'd love to have more info about Ground Sprinkler coverage.

    First rule of AC Electric Engines!

    Do not forget this:

    Holding a magnetized shaft core near one of these engines will cause it to emit a small amount of power, due to the fact that moving magnetic fields generate a current. This takes precedence over normal functioning; holding one near an operating engine will make it behave erratically.

    Really had me scratching my head until I remembered and re-read this. :lol:

    Could you upload the generated file? I have no idea how or what Perl is, but this seems amazingly useful.

    There's little point. Depending on the mods you have installed, the number of oretiles that need to be hidden will differ. Every modpack or selection of mods will have a different number of ores and thus GeoStrata oretiles.

    If you can't run Perl, you can use a spreadsheet to quickly generate the 1…N NEI.hide lines needed for your configuration.

    The individual ore blocks seem to work ok- (With Reika's permission if your modpacking) you could use CoFH worldgen or similar to directly add the Geostrata ores to the world.

    Yeah, one could do that, but I'd rather not be on the bleeding edge. For my (private) pack I've reverted to not using the oretiles. What's more, I've hidden them from NEI using this Perl script to generate a MineTweaker script.

    Not finding any examples of MineTweaker scripts with numeric loops, I opted for brute force.

    After checking in NEI to get the highest GeoStrata:geostrata_block_oretile number, it's used in the Scripts directory like so:

    generate_minetweaker_script_to_hide_geostrata_oretile_pollution_of_nei 985 > hide_geostrata_oretile_pollution_of_nei.zs

    It produces a file that looks like:

    import mods.nei.NEI;
    print("MineTweaker hiding GeoStrata oretiles from NEI");
    NEI.hide(<GeoStrata:geostrata_block_oretile>);
    NEI.hide(<GeoStrata:geostrata_block_oretile:1>);
    NEI.hide(<GeoStrata:geostrata_block_oretile:2>);
    .
    .
    .

    NEI.hide(<GeoStrata:geostrata_block_oretile:985>);

    The attached image shows the before and after state of NEI.

    EDIT: Okay, I see that GeoStrata ores are only half-implemented and this config should be left disabled.

    Geostrata: In NEI I see variants of the GeoStrata rocks with ores in them. In GeoStrata.cfg I tried setting

    I:"Ore Mode"=1

    but the ores don't render correctly. Coal Ore Basalt looks correct on the sides but not the top, and there are five blocks of Coal Ore Granite mixed in (at Y level 93!) which look like Basalt with both black and dark pink ores mixed in.

    Is the Ore Mode config option in GeoStrata supposed to work?

    The Main Menu links don't respond to mouseover, so they don't highlight and aren't clickable.

    The Block Info and Item Info menus work properly.

    As part of it's integration with other mods, RotaryCraft creates oreDict entries for ores from mods it supports regardless of whether those mods are installed.

    Here are some sample lines from an NEI-produced neiintegration_oredict.csv file:

    ingotGold,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Gold Ingot,false
    ingotIron,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Iron Ingot,false
    ingotOsmium,[email protected]46,RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Osmium Ingot,false
    ingotOsmium,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Osmium Ingot,false
    dustNikolite,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Nikolite Dust,false
    dustRedstone,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Redstone Dust,false
    dustSaltpeter,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Saltpeter Dust,false
    dustSulfur,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Sulfur Dust,false
    dyeBlue,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Lapis Item,false

    Even though Nether Ores isn't installed, Nether ingots for Iron, Gold, etc. are showing up in recipes because of these oreDict entries.

    Is there a config setting for NEI to turn off showing oreDict entries for items that have no recipe? Reika is of the opinion that these extra oreDict entries are harmless and should remain invisible, but NEI as configured disagrees.

    The items would not be obtainable, and the oreDict tags unused and invisible...why do you care?

    They should be invisible, but NEI for some reason is showing them to the user when it displays a recipe that uses the oreDict tag. I'll ask over in the NEI topic.

    And I can confirm that removing WAILA Harvestability fixed my issue with not seeing info on Rotarycraft machines.

    I tested this too. I found that the presence or absence of Waila Harvestability and WAILA Plugins made no difference.

    With or without them, tooltips show the following:

    Gasoline Engine: Fuel

    Performance Engine: Fuel, Additives, Water, Temperature

    Magnetostatic Engine: RF

    This is a relatively minor issue, but why is RotaryCraft creating oredict entries for ores from mods that aren't installed? This causes them to show up in recipes displayed by NEI, which is annoying because the recipes are wrong.

    Here are some sample lines from an NEI-produced neiintegration_oredict.csv file:

    ingotGold,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Gold Ingot,false
    ingotIron,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Iron Ingot,false
    ingotOsmium,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Osmium Ingot,false
    ingotOsmium,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Osmium Ingot,false
    dustNikolite,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Nikolite Dust,false
    dustRedstone,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Redstone Dust,false
    dustSaltpeter,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Saltpeter Dust,false
    dustSulfur,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Sulfur Dust,false
    dyeBlue,[email protected],RotaryCraft:rotarycraft_item_modingots,Nether Lapis Item,false

    The Nether Ores mod is not installed. Neither is any mod that generates or uses Osmium.

    It's a minor thing, but of concern to anyone seeking a polished, user-friendly mod experience.

    Thanks.

    Most definitely, as the crash report itself shows:

    I forgot to upgrade it at first, which caused a crash with this very helpful message:
