Okay so before the new launcher came out you could be completely disconnected from the internet [for days even] and still be able to play Minecraft.

Yes, that works. You can play offline if you're not connected to the internet, however this seems to only be because you've been previously authenticated by the servers.
I ran into the problem of not having internet AND not having a saved authentication for my account [Maybe it expired or timed out when I had to restart my laptop?] which resulted in minecraft being unplayable completely in any way shape or form. I don't know if this is a bug, or if it's intentional, but as someone who's legitimately paid for the game it's VERY disappointing as it means I cannot play minecraft on long trips where I simply don't have internet access of any sort. Is there any solution to this or will I just have to leave minecraft running 24/7 until it can be fixed simply so I can play truly offline.
No, I am not dead. I'm still kinda sick (although much better), and I'm trying to focus all my attention on getting a job. I will be back to update for 1.7.2 when it's time.
Hey there Jaz! Thanks so much for everything youve done to keep this server alive. Everything seems to be working except for the shop. When selling, it removes the item, but gives no money, and when buying, it says I dont have enough money. Im not worried about getting the items back, just wanted to let you know that the shop no work. thanks again for all youve done!!
Well said I'd also like to add a small bug report. The Coreprotect database seems to be empty, so there's no way to check who placed or removed any blocks prior to the server migration.

In theory, the world has been loaded and according to the console, everything looks good. I can't login right now, as I'm at work. I will verify that everything has converted properly, and that the performance is ok. The address I posted earlier is incorrect (we'll be using a numeric ip). I'll post an update this afternoon.

There are like ten admins. They're all very helpful and understanding.
The rules are pretty simple. No griefing, stealing, hacks/game changing mods, etc.
The people are great, as long as you're nice they'll be nice right back. We all help each other out as best we can when someone needs help.
The builds can be simple, all the way up to epic. Somewhere back a few pages is Animatedjss's statue of herself, that's pretty epic in my opinion.
So is everything gone? Or just the stuff from the old server gone?
As Fluffy said, Jaz has all of the flies from the old server. Once he gets them uploaded and settled onto the new host we should have our world back just the way it was, or pretty close to.
Be patient I'm making some headway with the new system. It isn't really any easier or more difficult to manage than Creeperhost, but everything is different.
Actually, you are both correct. Mojang is planning to introduce Minecraft Realms, a paid monthly subscription service which allows the easy creation of private, controlled servers. The main aim of this is apparently to help parents keep their kids safe when playing Minecraft together online. And for said parents to pay $10-15 a month, of course. This monthly subscription service is targeted at parents only, and the subscription just gives them access to the child-safe servers, not to Minecraft itself.
To me, knowing young kids who play minecraft, that's actually a really good idea, the kid-safe servers I mean. I know quite a few kids who want to, but aren't allowed to, play minecraft online because of some of the things that have happened to them on a "public" server before. [The kids of a close friend of mine].
I too got the problem with Amidst 3.4 not using mc 1.7.2 -- here is my solution:
- Since Amidst cant recognize mc172 it select a lesser "known" version, i.e. mc164.
- To pressure Amidst using only mc172, you have to temporarily remove all other mc-jar-folders from .minecraft\versions\ .
Then select your profile like "default'" and the Amidst titel bar will show "unknown version".
Now you'll able to find the new biom types like Mesa+Icepeaks.
Even "amplified" works fine as it should.
