There are other packs with similar names; however, this pack has always simply been called 'LIFE'.

This MOD is not yet complete, correct?

The resource pack is not currently complete, as indicated by the main post. However, it will work with the current version of Minecraft.

I had a recommendation to try out your resource pack, after a MineCraft YT broadcast I held. I must admit I absolutely love it, and approve the recommendation I was sent. However, my only concern is that with the resource pack the sounds were changed and I was not a big fan of this. Is there a way to revert just the sounds back to the “original MC” sounds? I look forward to your response.

Oh, this is quite funny. I was legitimately surprised by your comment as I have not edited any of the sounds in my pack - but then I realised. Mojang is quite funny on April Fools - the silly sounds are made entirely by them and will be back to normal tomorrow!

    404 page not found:(

May I ask what's giving you the 404? I tried the download links and they all work, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Thanks!

Excellent pack my friend. It is definitely my favorite. Any eta on 1.7.4 version? Also do you maybe got a sneak peak on what the stained glass will look like? I love what you did with the stained clay ad I am eagerly awaiting the latest update. Anyways keep up the great work!

    Hey! :D

1.7.4 version is out - it's not different to the previous versions of 1.7. Stained glass will most likely adopt the same colour palette as the stained clay and wool - I like to keep it consistent, and by the sound of things, you'll like it! Thanks for the kind words.

The sapling texture in this pack is either missing or the same as the default sapling texture. Edit: Running Vanilla Minecraft 1.7.4

Thanks for reminding me. I originally had saplings in the pack but I never really liked my texture and so I removed them. I had forgotten about it though until now! :D

Storm, you'd probably like Curse and Curseforge, they're quite nice there. Not only that but you get points toward the purchase of Amazon Cards or Paypal Payments (although I wished they had lower numeric payments too XD)

Also you might like Dropbox. It automatically updates the link you use as long as the file name stays the same, quite useful for you if you want folks to try the latest and greatest additions, or do both (like I've tried to pull) where you can have Curse to host your pack's stable version and Dropbox for experimental versions.

Hope that helps, I know also that Mediafire is a deathtrap without adblock.

    I'd like to second this.

The main problem with Dropbox is that without paying for their service your bandwidth is capped. This is why it's good to have CurseForge as your primary download location, and use Dropbox as a mirror. Curse has been really good as a host so far, and my complaints about them basically boil down to their needing to be more on the ball about version changes. Besides that, I have nothing but nice things to say about them.

I'd like to double second this. I had to drop them because of all the malware their ad partners try to install. I can't in good conscience contribute to that. :(

Thanks to you both for your replies! Seems like Curse is the way to go then (with Dropbox as the backup)! Some really helpful information here and so I greatly appreciate you assistance. :)

posted a message on Problems with Mediafire and Finding a New File Host
    Hello!

I'm a resource pack creator and I've always used Mediafire to host the download for my pack; however, I've recently noticed that whenever I now download something on Mediafire, it will always generate a new tab with some form of advertising. This is in addition to the vast amount of misleading ads on the download page (making it difficult to actually press the real and legitimate download button).

First of all, if someone could point out as to whether this is common between all users (and not just myself for whatever reason), that would be great. I don't want anyone who downloads my pack to have to deal with any of this unpleasantness, and so this brings me to my next question: what file hosts do you use for your own resource packs? Any assistance in being pointed in the right direction would be much appreciated, as continuing with Mediafire seems to be quite undesirable given the circumstances.

    Many thanks. :)

I see what you mean. As I said, it's hard to have one texture that pleases everyone in all situations. I've got to keep to the regular stone brick texture for now as it is more of a realistic version of the original texture, but I'll see what I can do later on in regards to making alternative textures. Thanks for the ideas! :D

This is very well made for 5 minutes per texture! It's quite hard to believe when you consider the detail within the textures - congratulations for doing this so successfully. :D

That's really cool! Thanks for the tips! :D

Before finding this, I made a kind of 'green-screen' within the game, by changing the background blocks to a certain colour whilst placing my desired block in front. I would then just take the background out easily on Photoshop. This is much better, though - thanks!

Well, last year, I believe, the chests used a present texture during Christmas. I don't know if it'll be done this year, though.

I'm guessing it will. There's a file or two for the different chest textures and so it would make sense to have it on every Christmas! :D

By the way, is it also possible for you to make the stone bricks look more fancy or modern? i had a mansion built out of it and now it looks like a dungeon.

It's difficult in a way from my perspective - I have to balance how 'modern' it looks whilst still keeping some medieval-ish elements within it. The stone bricks are of a modern texture in the sense that they are bricks from the real world. I've tried to make balance this out, but it's not always easy. What, in particular, do you have in mind?

When should we expect the next update of the pact for Minecraft version 1.7.2/3?

Not really sure - hopefully within the coming week! :D

    Hi there,

I am a newbie to this whole resource pack thing, and so I'm shopping around for ones that I like. Well, I love this one, though I am curious as to why some elements of Minecraft still have their default appearance. For example, my interface, the clouds and ducks all look the same as they do in the base game, but the blocks and water for the most part look liek they've been updated with new textures from this pack.

Is this due to the fact that v1.7.2 of Minecraft is just a few days old, and the resource pack is in the midst of an update? Is it simply a matter of waiting?

Any assistance would be welcome. Again, I apologize for the rookie question. I'd really love to see this pack in all of its glory but I apepar to be only about halfway there.

Sorry for the late response - I thought I already replied! Oops!

Your pack sounds like it is fine - if you saw in my original post, I stated that the pack is not completely finished. It's in the 'About the Pack' section. I am constantly working on the pack, though, so expect regular updates! :D
