Well, first off I'd like to thank Jeb for actually listening to the community for the bug fixes, but I don't really like the three strongholds per map, especially in SMP.
I have a feeling however that it will be raised (so they're rare, but they'll generate with new chunks explored) in the future.
I agree, they should be a bit stronger. Not anything like 2-hitting you, but maybe just a bit stronger and take another hit to kill. :tongue.gif:
I'd say bring the health up to 25, instead of 10. The thing that makes them scary is that they teleport, and you can't experience if you just two hit kill it with a diamond sword.
Yeah, the problem is that the biomes are kinda niche, most people have a favorite one, they will stay there, is that a problem? I don't think so.
I kinda see what you mean. I love the swamp biomes, and the mountain ones. So, I build my house right on the junction between the two. It works out perfectly.
they're massive underground dungeons mixed all together with lots of holes all around, they're not looking very promising, they lack structure and are rather annoying to navigate from what I've seen.
Really? For being randomly generated they seem lovely
Yes but I think that the mushrooms are just a ridiculous amount. I admit that they were too rare before, but now they are just too common. You can easily punch some grass, get seeds, and make bread. Also just kill some animals. I think that both of those are enough never mind all the other food sources such as melons.
Actually, I almost starved once because no animals were spawning in the mountains where my house was, and I didn't have time to grow wheat. The only thing that saved me was some leftover mushroom stew :wink.gif:
ummm.... you like repetative landscapes? that go on for miles and miles? ugh i hate the new generator. now the only place you can find a self respecting formation is though mountain biomes..
I like the new biomes. The plains are great for building now, cause they've been flattened a little, and people who love the floating islands and giant structures can go to the mountain biomes.
i just lost myself completely in a galery of caverns, underground ravines, abandoned mineshafts... and i dont even care, i just keep going, lol.
when i want to see the light again, ill just dig up, make a map, try to find my way home again. might take ages. pure fun
I know, right? I found a HUGE cavern system (could be the biggest I've found yet in minecraft) ranging from about Y:36 all the way down to bedrock. It even lets out into a huge ravine which I haven't been able to explore yet. All it needs now is a mineshaft.

Any thoughts?

Well, I suppose playing on F5 would ruin the surprise a little, but hey, it'd still be freaky for an enderman to just teleport behind you.
