Do his planes float on water? Are they large enough to have multiple rooms? Do they respond to any sort of outside force (boats have to respond to water flow)? Do they have the code required to move chests (chests currently cannot be moved)?

Right, well, if you want to code the massive amount of files it would take to make the ships move and respond to gravity and water flow, let us know.
This is not an exaggeration, the amount of code required to make a ship that is as large as you say and moves is vastly complex.
I think it's possible, look at what Flan has done with the planes mod. but still, It WOULD be extremely complex.

haha! Very nice for your first map! Although, I am very cautious around levers and buttons, and avoided the trap by standing on the block with the door. So maybe place the door from the inside to make a smooth surface? Also, I think it's funny that you actually put a room behind the door. I hope I didn't give anything away! Also, using the reeds like that was a great idea!
Your right! This is been something I have wanted FOR EEVAR! I think having the option to like, build a PORTAL to the prehistoric age would be cool! Maybe even a time machine. Like in back to the future, with a minecart!
Well, I think you should know that the number of days/hours/minutes you've played gets reset after an update. At least I think it does. And also, you're not including the time people have played BEFORE statistics were added.
And I'm still running Beta 1.3, so I have no idea. I started playing about 5 days before beta was released.
